Reply Contact pajamas/undergraments, socks or slippers, comfy clothes to come home in, outfit for baby to come home in, my own pillow, camera, maxi pads, tucks, rain machine (to turn on for sleeping... it helps drown out hospital noise!), hard candy to suck on, toiletries, I'm sure I forgot something! Let's see what everyone else says!

Reply Contact Chapstick, camera, my own comfy pjs (button down, for nursing), toiletries, baby's picture outfit, socks, baby book to write about the birth while the facts are still fresh, big sister presents (I'll probably just keep them in the truck instead of in the bag), nursing bra, book or magazine.  I'm not planning to bring diapers or wipes because the hospital supplies them.

Reply Contact Two outfits, one that's ultra-comfy and one that was just a bit big before I got pg, cuz I don't know what I'm going to want to wear when I leave; jammies; slippers; outfit for little-man to come home in; baby blankets for the ride home; toiletries because I am tired of such ugly pictures of me in the hospital! :) Then I leave plenty of room for everything in the bassinet at the hosiptal to fit in.

Reply Contact i dont think i even used my bag last time i was there. i ended up going home wearing the clothes i went in with!! and i didnt shower so i didnt need shampoo. and i just wore the hospital gown. and my DD didnt wear her going home outfit, just the white shirt from the hospital. LOL you can plan so much and then it all just sits there.

Reply Contact Things might be a little different because I'm up in Canada, but here's my list: - gum - chapstick - pads - a pair of those eye covers for sleeping (last time I had to share my room with someone else and it never got completely dark) - nursing bra - pen & notepad (I'm hoping to write a diary in between contractions which would be a cool gift for LO later on in life) - camera/camcorder - diapers, vaseline, receiving blankets, several newborn outfits, bunting bag for car seat, and hat I'm not bringing any PJ's, the gowns that they had me in last time were great - they had snaps on the shoulders which made it easy to BF! I'm not planning on bringing change of undies either... I'm going to stock up on those mesh gonchies. They're unbelievable comfy (even though they get an F in sexyness )

Reply Contact Here goes my "Canadian" list: - gum , chapstick, and Jolly Rancher hard candies - pads and toiletries - nursing bra (last time I only packed a sports bra... BAD idea... had to buy nursing bras on the drive home from the hospital while DH & DS waited in the car), breast pads, and Lanolin for my poor boobies - v-neck t-shirts (easy to nurse from) and sweatpants with a wide, tight-fitting waistband (it felt so good to have the extra support from my sweatpants' band right on top of my c-section incision), and LOTS of undies with non-elastic waistband (I LOVED the mesh undies, but preferred to wear them over my normal undies... the mesh ones alone didn't keep the pads "on location" at all times), socks, and slippers - camera, cellphone and call-list, and a picture of DS and our two dogs for the LO to check out... hehe - pacifier, nursing cover (too many visitors stuck around while I nursed, so I want to be prepared this time), and a few preemie size and newborn size outfits (my DS was a small 6lbs6oz, and all of my newborn size outfits and hospital sleepers were too big) with hats - carseat bunting bag for the cold winter day that I am sure we will be having, and Boppie pillow waiting in the car to hug to my c-section incision on the drive home - a bag or box to transport gifts and flowers in (last time my poor husband made way too many trips back and forth just loading up to go home) I'm not bringing toiletries for the baby, because the hospital has never-ending supplies of everything we may need. Looking back on that list, I may be packing hospital bagS this time around!!

I took those with me and it was nice cause I didnt have to worry about messing up nice ones. Should I have a present to give my DD at the hospital when she comes to meet her new brother? She will be 2 when he is born

Reply Contact  Robe, pjs, slippers, lots of comfy socks, bras, hair ties, shampoo and soap (the stuff at the hospital sucks), deodorant, breast pads, bras, brush, toothbrush, toothpaste, I will bring some diapers and wipes this time since the last time, I ran out before we left (I was there 5 days), and they were slow at getting me more.  Oh, and I'm packing  some towels too, they were slow at bringing me towels as well.  I never bring any underwear or pads because although I hate wearing their saddle-like pads, I think they are the most absorbent, and the mesh panties are ugly as heck, but I'd rather not mess mine up.  Not to mention, I'm having a c-section, and I'd rather not have the pressure of regular panties and the nurses always want to  take a look at the incision.  I just hate it when the mesh catches on the staples!  Ouch!  Maybe I can ask the dr for stitches?

Last time I had some leaking issues and I ran out of my own panties in the middle of the night. Soooo not good!

Reply Contact I'm also bringing my laptop with some movies stored on the hard drive, a book or maybe a few magazines, lots of socks (my feet get cold easily). Basically everything else was already mentioned.
