    Blood pressure

I have posted before about how I had high blood pressure last pregnancy after I delivered my baby. It went through the roof during the "fluid shift" as they call it. Anyway my doc has been keeping a close eye on it this time. When I went last week it was 135-89 so I have to go back for a re check this Friday. It is always so much higher there than it is at my house. I have a digital wrist one which they say is the most accurate. AT my house the other day it read 121-71. Does anyway else have this problem?

    Re: Blood pressure

I usually have really good blood pressure, like about 116/70. I know that because I have a monitor at home and am a nurse so have had plenty of opportunity to check it. But at my doctors office, it usually goes up, about 125/80 or so and has gone higher that they have had to re-check it at the end of the appointment. I really don't feel stressed when I am there but I guess just the getting to the doctors, dealing with the kids, and waiting for the doctor is enough to get my blood pressure up a bit. Just make sure you monitor it and as long as your doctor is not worried then things should be fine. I wish you stress-free days!

Mine is definitely lower at home than at the doctor's office.  But, one thing I've noticed...by Wednesday or Thursday it's usually up to 135/82 or somewhere around there.  By Friday night into the weekend it's down to about  120/69.  I think something's telling me to not work haha!

I am a nurse and I have high bp pregnant or not. U really need to call ur md especially if u do not have bp problems. U could have preeclampsia. b/p should be no higher than 140/90.
