    swollen feet already?

I had to go potty heaps yesterday and last night I realised my ankles were quite swollen! I hadn't been on my feet much and its not hot here at all.

I usually don't have any swelling until the last month or so!
What is with all these things happening so soon?

Is anyone else having swelling? I've read it, along with some diziness (yep had that too) is normal.
Argh, what is the 3rd trimester going to be like?

I know if I have been on my feet all day they get swollen and I do get dizzy spells if I am hungry or get up to fast, but otherwise I am good. If you are already getting dizzy and swollen feet when you are not on them much, you should have that checked out by your doctor. I would be concerned about pre-eclampsia which comes with high blood pressure too. You just want to make sure you are healthy for the sake of you and the baby. However, if your blood pressure checks out and the doctor says everything is fine, you might just be prone to getting swelling easier than others. Oh I hope you feel better because I am with you on the third trimester! I find it can drag on forever and if you are feeling crappy cause of some symptoms, it might be a long 12 weeks! Good luck to you!

I am getting that too, but I tend to stay on my feet more often than I should. My doc recommended that when I am sitting that I prop my feet up, it could be fluid too so it could very well be the summer heat. Drink lots of water just incase it's retention of water.

Yeh initially I was a bit concerned, but the diziness isn't very often. And I googled and both those things are common in the 2nd trimester it said on a few sites.

My blood pressure is always on the low side so I would be very surprised if it were up. I am thinking of going and getting it checked later today anyway.
I guess I'm on my feet a normal amount? This week I have been out everyday, mostly shopping and just doing around the house stuff. Its not like I'm on my butt all day like I was with my first 2 pregnancies, lol.

I have been getting swollen feet, ankles and hands as well over the last couple weeks. Currently in week 27. My blood pressure is fine and I drink tons of water. I've already removed my wedding rings because a friend of mine said she had to get hers cut off. I think it's normal but I will be asking my dr as they swell even when I'm not on my feet alot.

Not yet. But I'm sure it won't be long

Last time I had only one whole leg blow up?  Just one! - couldn't put a shoe on that foot, nor socks?  That was the weirdest thing.  Confused

Went to the hospital maternity ward (40wks prego) and all was good they sent me home!

I blew up like a ballon during the last few wks and lost 15kgs within 2wks of having DSBig Smile

YES!! My feet started swelling like two weeks ago, I'm 25 weeks, they got really bad the last couple days. Last night after drinking almost a gallon of water, my feet swelled so bad I thought they were gonna explode! I soak my feet at home i epsom salt and that tends to help, I prop them up whenever possible. But i tend to eat alot of salt too, my feet look like ham hocks with little vienna sausages on the end :o(

I got this checked at my last midwife app. and this is what I was told and my blood pressure is perfect and I drink a ton of water everyday.  It's not just from staying on them to long, it's from excessive sitting as well without having them raised.  I sit at a computer all day at work and have been getting swelling in my feet mainly around the ankles, so she recommends that I try to get moving a bit more at work.

i'm in the same boat as ya'll. Unfortunately since my job is "a sit down job" I notice my ankles swell more then on the weekends when I'm running around everywhere. I too was concerned and spoke to my doc about this at my last checkup. He said due to the heat (it's been around 95-105 decrees here) it's quite normal. He told me to just make sure I stay hydrated & watch my salt intake I'd be fine! As far as the dizziness, I only get that way when I get up too quickly or if I haven't had a lot to drink that day. They say to watch out if you continually have the dizziness & swelling over a 24 hour period (you go to bed and wake up with it). Good luck girl! Not much longer & your body will be your's again!

My feet have started to swell a little. I really noticed it the other day when I took my heels off after work and had huge indentation lines on my feet!

Yeh my mother told me the same, about the sitting, but I haven't been sitting that much, so I dunno what it was about.

I got up and did a lot of housework yesterday and the swelling went down. This morning there is none so far.
