I had my tube tied, cut and burned and miraculously I am pregnant again. They don't tell you that there is a chance that the tubal ligation can fail. We thought it was permanent.

Re: Who is out there over 35?
Hi,
I am 37 and pregnant for the first time. I am in my sixth month now and I have had no problems other than what's par for the course. I have always been pretty healthy so other than my age I havent had any reason to worry about this pregnancy. My OB has made me feel very comfortable. She told me about testing and offered to send me to a maternal fetal specialist for Neuchal Fold test and my 2nd tri u/s, which I did. Everything went fine. He was also reassuring b/c he does not feel that age alone really makes a person a high risk, but at the same time I felt his examinations were very thorough. How far along are you? I hope everything is going well for you. Do you have any children already?

Re: Who is out there over 35?
HI, I am 37 years old and having my second child. I am already the mother of a 14 year old son, so this is exciting, scary and completely different than the first pregnancy. I have to agree with a earlier post, it's definitely not the same as when I was in my 20s physically but I'm older, wiser and looking forward to experience motherhood all over again!!!

Hello Shonna!
Yea...I am with you...I am 38, just had a litlle one last March and now we have a new little that is going to be born in Nov. This will be my 5th child. My husband has a set of twins from his first marriage and this is our second together. See what happens when you marry a man that is 6 years younger! LOL
I can relate...this pregnancy is not even the same as last year. I was working and busy last year...This time, I am trying to take it easy (to some degree) because for some reason, my children come 6 weeks early. This time, I am at least going to make it to the actually month I am due! Alli

When did my babies grow up?!) and I'm due in December! My husband and I are hoping for a baby girl! I'd love to hear from anyone to have somebody to chat with!

Re: Who is out there over 35?
I will be 38 when our baby is born. We have an almost 16 month old girl right now. I'm due right around Christmas Day, but if he/she is like our daughter, he/she may come a couple weeks before the due date. So far I'm feeling good, but hesitant about the morning sickness which kicked in for me around the 7 week mark and didn't leave until around 14 weeks.

Re: Who is out there over 35?
Hey Ladies! Yes nothing like starting over!!! My Gayle is 21, Will is 17, Bryanna is 14...Kai is 1. Yes...one! LOL My concern was letting Kai grow-up basically by herself...That means I would have to somehow be Kai's playmate...all day long. I love all my kids but sometime Jamaica seems like a wonderful place to be! I told my hubby that if we could get pregnant before my 38th b-day then we are good. And well, I am 10 weeks and due in Nov.
How does everyone REALLY feel about their pregnancy? I am happy and very blessed that we are having another one, but I am scared that I am not going to have enough of "me" to go around. I have been praying for some insight.

Re: Who is out there over 35?
Hi everyone! I'm 39 and I'm due on September 19th which is 2 days before I actually make 40. I cried at first because I wanted to get pregnant right after my second son. For some reason, my period stopped for 10 years and it just started coming back couple months before I got pregnant. I cried at first, but I always wanted to have another child. Some people look at me and think like I'm crazy for having a child at my age. I'm happy that theirs other people out there that is around my age and is expecting. So I'll be talking to you all and thank you for having this topic.

Re: Who is out there over 35?
Hi Allison, I'm 39 1/2. My two sons are 21 and 16. I wanted all my children to be in age around one another. Things happen that we can't control. I'm from the Virgin Islands and I'm glad that I have my sons and my mom around for support. At first I wasn't happy. Probably because I wanted it to happen from so long and now it's happening. I'm happy now and I do believe that God would not give more that you can handle. I'm trying not to have too much on my mind about my pregnancy. Everything is goiing good right and I just started feeling the kicks in my stomach so I'm even more happy about that. To me, once you have your family around everything should be o.k. Don't let nothing stress you girl. Go on and have your baby. I'm due in September and I can't wait!

Re: Who is out there over 35?
My gynecologist told me I'm due September 15th but when I got the senogram, that doctor told me I'm due September 19th. I am feeling o.k. My only problem is that I have a forever cold and anytime I cough too hard, I urinate a little. I think it means that my baby is lying on my bladder. Other than that I'm fine and watching in amazement of my stomach growing. I never had morning sickness with my first two children. But with this one, my morning sickness lasted up to my 4th. month. I think that I'm 90 percent over it. I can't work right now since my body was recovering from feeling so weak from the sickness. I'm just waiting to have my last child then I'll be back to work.

I'm 30, but DS2 just turned one on April 24, and I am due with another boy on August 27! So, I can feel you on the sheer exhaustion from chasing a baby who just started walking! It's getting more and more difficult to bend over and pick him -- and all the things he throws on the floor. : ) I had my first son at 19 -- and it is a whole other ball game! It's nice that we can appreciate the little things more and be more patient with our babies, but physically it is way harder.
