First off..congrats for being 36 weeks along! That is a blessing. If you have been in and out of the hospital and under your doctors care, you have to have faith that they are doing what they think is best for you and the baby. I think if they thought you were in serious, serious risk they would probaly keep you in the hospital. They say 37 weeks is the safe point as the lungs etc are fully developed so you are in a good place. Believe me I am no expert but understand what you are going through. This is my first pregnancy and has been no ride in the park. Bedrest since 21 weeks, preterm labor, shortening cervix and oh yeah, I failed my one hour glucose test last week too so I may be tacking GD to the list. You just have to stay as positve as you can and take it day by day. Just think how far you've come...36 weeks is really , really good. Take care and try to take it easy. Ruth Ann

Congrats being 36 weeks. I agree with Ruth Ann 36 weeks is a blessing. For many of us it has not been a ride in the park. I have been on bedrest since 19 weeks with cerclage and shortening cervix and encounter unbearable anxiety weekly not knowing what is going to happen the next minute...so I know how it feels being scared. Turst your doctors. You are at an extremely viable and safe stage for delivery. Preeclampsia is serious, but as long as your doctors take every precaution you will be fine. Oftentimes doctors will induce if it becomes worse since that is the only way to get rid of it. I have early gestational diabetes as well and I have been taking insulin. It is not bad, but it is emotionally stressful to endure.II am pretty sure they will keeep measuring the baby to make sure that it doesn't get too big. Hang in there, you will have that little bundle of joy very soon. I wish I can say that I am 36 weeks. i have ways to go.

    Re: i'm really scared!!!!!!!!!!

hello i am new here and i am only 14 weeks with my thrid however with my first i was preeclic so not spelled right and he was born at 32 weeks weighing 6lbs 4 oz he was in the neonatal unit for about 3 weeks and was home for christmas born 11 25 04 he was and is fine and i am and was fine as well so i am sure u and the baby will be fine. When you go in with that problem and or deliver early they induced me they have alot of professionals in the room for you and the baby to and take very good care of you and the baby. The only bad thing was that i didnt get to hold him for like 2 days but if it kept hi, healthy it was worth it.
