Gift [G] *Virtual Baby Shower* I'm taking the initiative...

Hello everyone. We had discussed this WAAAAAYYYY back in June and decided to wait till a lot of us were in our 20 weeks. Well, that's about now! Big Smile

So, I would like to know who would like to be in on this. Here is what will be required of you:

    - Spend a minimum of $20 on a gift for your partner and ship it to them.

    - Sign up on Elfster and join our exchange group if you want to join. (if you are in Canada or Australia and want to join in, please check the ***below).

----sign up deadline is by September 13th on Elfster. exchange date is by November 4th.

----Don't forget you will need to include your address when signing up on the Elfster website.

This is so your partner knows where to send the gift.

    - When your partner is assigned to you on the 13th, check out their wishlist's or bio to figure out what to buy them for their shower gift.

    - Send out your gift by November 4th.

    - Optional: Feel free to get creative: wrap up the gift, include a congrats card, candy, any extras you want... Just have fun with it! And, you can stay anonymous in the exchange, or feel free to let your partner know you are. It's up to you!

After you've signed up on Elfster feel free to add items to your wishlist on Elfster. Since I've already registered for my upcoming baby showers I just put links to my registries. Check out my Elfster profile to see what I did (You'll have to login to see it). I also included a link to my PW bio. I added questions to my bio for the exchange. This way my partner can get to know a little more about me. Please add these questions and any others to your bio and answer them for your partner to learn more about you:

    - What are your favorite colors?
    - What are your favorite sports/ teams and are you into sports?
    - How do you like to spend your free time?
    - What (if you have one) is your nursery theme?
    - Are you having a boy or a girl and what will the name be?
    - Favorite candy (or craving):
    - Do you collect anything?
    - Do you have any allergies?
    - Anything else we should know about you?

Please let me know if any of you have any questions.

***If you are in Canada or Australia and want to join in, we can do a separate exchange for you guys. I think there are a couple ladies from Aus, and a couple from Canada. If you want in and are from outside the US, post that you would like to exchange and we'll see if anyone else in your country signs up too. That will help with any shipping cost issues! Yes Or, we can see who doesn't mind sending to Canada and Aus and who does. I have a way to change who can be partners with who on Elfster.

I don't have anything to say I just wanted to reply so this stayed at the top of the list. Chelsey maybe you can ask to get this pinned.

Hmm, I don't know who to ask? I've never pinned anything. I can just keep bumping it.

to get the msgs pinned you have to go to the main site where all the communities are listed, and the first choice is something like "community board" on that forum you will find the post where you request to have posts pinned and unpinned.  Ill go ahead and do it (hopefully im not stepping on anyones toes, just tryin to help), but check it out, just for future ya know:)~

I don't know if this is the plan, but this is what they did in my other birth clubs. They paired everyone up with someone with similar interests and close in age to each other.

You are more than welcome to do that. When I get all the ladies together that want to participate, I will ask who wants to share their addresses with others for exchanging cards and etc. Big Smile

---And for how I choose who gets who, well I don't. Smile On Elfster I  pretty much push a button and it does all the work for me like picking partners and getting your partners info and address to you. Saves me a lot of brain power since I seem to be pretty low on it right now! Yes

You can specify and get detailed to decide who can't send to who and what not (like Canada). So, LisaMarie doesn't mind being paired up with a Canadian shipment, so I could make it that she gets a Canadian partner. I don't mind either.

I've extended this to the 15th, just to make sure we've got everyone that wants to participate!

I was feeling much better today and took a trip to the mall.. I found some wonderful things for the lady i drew.. non baby related though which she said she would llike.. scented candles and those little scent infused reed thingys.. I also picked up some small goodies for the other ladies to go with there cards at bath and body works.. I had so much fun! This is just what i needed to pull me out of my funk! Where can I find the list of ladies for sending cards to again? I will be sending things out later this week. I hope you all enjoy!
