Some women who are considering Home Birth are also "VBAC." (I am!) Some of the studies above discuss HBAC (Home Birth After C/S). Studies specific to HBAC are few and far between but understanding the statistical risk of uterine rupture is helpful in considering HBAC. The following links are specific to HBAC and "relative" risks of uterine rupture. As you read the articles, pay special attention to the data and look up the footnotes to read those studies too. The articles are written from the perspective of the author. It was my experience that after looking at the statistics and checking additional studies from the footnotes, I often came to a different conclusion/perspective about the relative risks than the author.
