    First appoint with my midwives

I had my first appointment with my midwives today (I have two that will attend my birth).  DH came with me so he finally met them, which was good...he really liked them.  It was great to visit with them, get some questions answered, and we got all the official paperwork done...including our signed contract and first payment!  :)

They suggested sifting with a rebozo and an inversion every day to help the ligaments stay symetrical and to help them stretch.  They checked urine, blood pressure and weight, would have listened to baby but they don't like to use the doppler (they like to use a fetoscope once you are far enough along) and I have one at home so I said there was no need to.

It was just great visiting with them again (although the 70 minute ride to their office is going to get OLD), and having DH meet them.  It's really sinking in that I'm FINALLY getting my homebirth!
