The Name Lorelei-WHat do you think of?

Lorelei. (Lore-ra-Lye) Do you know anyone with the name? What kind of person are they? What kind of personality do you picture or relate with it? We are naming our baby girl Lorelei Ariah (Uh-Rye-Uh) She will be here in January (2010) Just wondering 'who' she will be. I know she will be her own person and it depends on how we raise her...but names do have a significance on who the person is.

My names is Lorelei (most of my friends call me Lola) I dont really think a name makes a personality. She will be who she is no matter her name

Yeah, that's what I said, But to some degree, When you hear a name, you think of a certain 'type'. You know?

Well you could go by the actual mythological creature named Lorelei Stick out tongue but that's not too pleasant.

When I hear Lorelei, I think of an intelligent girl who is very natural, physically active and a little conservative. For some reason, long brown hair and tennis come to mind as well...

I agree with you, that she'll be what she'll be despite her name, but it must be fun to speculate. =]

well I guess I could tell you how I am. I think my natural hair color is light brown (I color it). I am short. I am shy but quirky with a large creative personality. I am very smart and love to read.

    I think it's a beautiful name...

The names makes me think of a beautiful girl, smart, artistic... not much into sports, well maybe something like dancing. But very feminine.

Ooh Thanks Girls...Those are really nice. i picture Brown Hair too. I hope she has brown hair. Me and my son have Blonde. But DH and his whole family and my whole family minus my dad have Brown Hair! So I hope it's true that boys tend to take after moms, and girls their dad....Feature-wise.

I love this name! It's made my 'list' every time! ... but we went with Grace for our first, and then the next babies were both boys! It's still on my list this time, I just don't know if it 'goes' well with all the other names we have now (Grace, Gavin, Finnegan)

I think Lorelei goes well with the other kids' names, but I do think you should go with another F name. :D

The only "problem" with that is that we MAY (just MAY, lol) have onnnnnnnnnnnnne more after this one HAHAHAA I would hate to have two with G names, and two with F names... then one with their own letter! And the boy name picked out is a "d" name but still flows well (Declan). Stupid names. LOL

Yeah. Someone ends up getting left out. My Husband is the only one of 5 kids who didn't get a bible name. And he is second oldest. He felt kind of left out....I guess you just go with what you like and end up where you end up!
