I know most of us are veteran mommies. Well I need some help with my 4 year old van gogh. She inherited the artist gene from her father I suppose and insists on coloring on her furniture and sheets with pens pencils crayons...pretty much anything. I have officially banned the pens but I let her color in her coloring books and practice her letters in pencil. She likes her own space so I've been letting her go in her room and have her privacy while she does so. Well today I was picking up while she was napping and noticed a huge scribble from the top of her dresser to the bottom. Its wood so i grabbed the furniture polish and a rag and spent a good 20 mins trying to take it off. My question to yall is...I know I'm a little OCD about the cleanliness of my house but will I seem all "mommy dearest" if I ban her from coloring/practicing letters in her room or making her clean it when she does defy me? This is not the first time she has done it or the second or the third...not sure how to explain it to her anymore. Thanks for the input ladies!
