Bleeding and I am 7 weeks Pregnant!! Could it be normal??

We have been trying for almost a year to have a baby last April we finally got pregnant and in June I went for an ultrasound to find out I had a pregnancy with no baby. I forgot what they called it but I had a DNC in June and then we had a positive test on the 1st of August, I have been feeling fine a few cramps here and there and I was feeling GREAT today and I went to the bathroom and I was bleeding!! I just wanted to cry! I think it is so horrible it is this hard to get pregnant and keep the pregnancy! Has anyone else had this happen to them and they still had a healthy baby??

I am so sorry, and I know exactly what you are going through. I had a miscarriage in December, another in February, and then became pregnant again in April. Right at 7 weeks I spotted a little and went completely crazy, knowing that the bleeding had always meant doom in the past. I went in for an ultrasound and the baby looked good. I had an HcG reading, then another 2 days later on Mothers Day. The numbers went from 79,000 to 110,000. Not even close to doubling. My midwife called and said that she wasn't optimistic. I was crushed. However, I went in for my appt that following Monday, and was told (by my perinatologist) to not lose hope on this baby yet. So, I didn't. Instead I went back 2 weeks later for another ultrasound and there was my little baby, heart beating away. Not a day goes by that I don't worry about this baby, but I am now 22 weeks along with my first son, Silas Hudson. So while it is not normal and very scary to bleed, it is fairly common to have "implantation bleeding" at this point. Or in my case, they told me I simply had an irritated cervix and everything turned out fine. Try to stay positive and get in for an U/S as soon as you can to help ease your mind. With your history, your doctor should have no problem scheduling one. Good luck, and hugs!

How much bleeding was it? Is it still happening?

I bled a bit when I was around 7 weeks and I freaked out, having had a missed m/c only 5 months before. I got into the dr two days later and found out the baby was just fine. The dr said it was most likely implantation bleeding. I am currently 20 1/2 weeks. I sincerely hope it turns out to be nothing and you have the healthy pregnancy we all deserve.

The bleeding lasted about 6 hours I put a pad on and i only had a little blood on the pad like maybe a 50 cent piece. Every I used the bathroom and I would wipe the toilet paper was red. Right now it is just pink when I wipe and there is nothing in my pad. I called my Dr. and he said just to keep it easy and to come in on Friday for an ultrasound. This is #7 for pregnancies and I have 3 healthy children. In my other m/c's I either didn't bleed at all or I gushed and there was allot of clots and this one is not like that!! It is Bright red and I have never seen that before.

I would just do as the dr says, take it easy. Drink lots of fluids, put your feet up and rest as much as possible until Friday. I wish you the best of luck.

Re: Bleeding and I am 7 weeks Pregnant!! Could it be normal??

I know this is a little late and it's been almost a week, but in case anyone comes across this in the future, I had some sudden bleeding right at 12 weeks on the dot. I have two healthy little girls and we're pregnant with number 3. I had never miscarried before but have had two c-sections. I was so scared as it was just some sudden bleeding. I sat down and took it easy and it then went to spotting for a couple days and then quit. We were headed out of town for a week and the doctor told me to go ahead with the trip and come see him when we get back. He said "you're either okay or your not" which I knew he meant I either had a healthy, living baby in there still or I didn't, and there wasn't much they could do either way. So I just took it easy since we were on vacation visiting my sister, but it was the longest week of my life waiting to see if my baby was okay. He was and is and I'm now 24 weeks along and can't wait to meet him for the first time!

Hi you all I am so glad for everyones advise!! I went to the doctors a couple of days ago and I got to hear our baby's heart beating!! I found out that I have a tare in my placenta and it is causing my uterus to come away from the uterine wall. The tare is not that bad there hoping it heals itself. I have another ultrasound on Tuesday and we will find out if it is healed. So for all those worried expecting mothers sometimes there is bleeding when its NOT a miscarriage!!!
