    Re: Carseat Info/Crash Test Footage/Recommendations

I have a son who is turning 3 in several weeks. He is tall for his age and 40 pounds now. I 've had him in a convertible carseat for 2.5 years but he is outgrowing it and my 6 month old is outgrowinh his infant seat quickly. I was going to get the britax racer nighback booster seat but I was told by the rep at babies r us that the problem is that it does not have a 5 point harness that we are supposed to use until they are 4. She recommended the graco nautilus which can be a carseat with a 5 pt harness, a highback boostet, or a backless booster. What are your thoughts on this seat? thank you

Again, I'm late answering, but the Nautilus is an excellent choice!  I'm pretty sure that's what we'll be getting for Pacey once he outgrows his Marathon.  He won't get any extra time out of the harness, but the Nautilus can be LATCHed/top tethered in booster mode...so that's what we'll be buying it for basically.

My DS is 14 weeks and already close to 16 pounds (he was 10lb 13oz and 22 inches at birth). He is still in his inant carrier but I know we are getting close to teh convertible seat. My nephew is 10 months old and uses teh Britax roundabout. They love it. Is that a good seat? Should I upgrade to the next one???
