Infant Reflux

Infant reflux is very common; the frequent regurgitation affects more than one half of all babies in the first three months of life. But that doesn’t make it any easier to endure! Join this board to find support, advice and to share your experiences with infant reflux.

Re: My baby is 9 months old and still has reflux....

My son is 7.5 months and still has reflux.  We were just able to wean him off of cereal in his bottles, he does spit up more than usual, but not enough that he isn't keeping most of it down.  We are still on Prevacid, our gastro suggested taking him off 2 weeks before his 9 month appt to see what happens.

From what both my pedi and gastro have told me, most babies will outgrow reflux between 9-12 months.  They said that there are exceptions, of course, and that by 15 months it should be gone.  If not, then it is a possibility that it is something that they will not outgrow.

Sorry I can't really respond to your question...b/c DS isn't that old yet.  Hope it all works out for your LO.
