bottles???

    bottles???

    hi guys, my baby is 5 an half months old and im still sterilising every single bottle after every feed..... am i nuts but i thought thats the way to do it untill about 6 months????? He is putting anything and everything in his mouth and has done for ages now. Help me please, and tell me i dont still need to be attached to this blinking steamer!!

    You don't have to keep doing that. I did with my first child, but after the first sterilising they are fine. Now if the baby gets thrush, or you think there is something you need to kill in the bottle or on the nipple then sterlize.

     I only sterilize before the first use (right out of the package) but after that I just wash with warm soapy water.  My mom says back in the day she used to sterilize my bottles every time but we don't have to do that anymore.  It may be different if you wash the bottles with well water (since I know if you use well water you should boil the water before using it for mixing with formula) but I don't know.
