    Monday Weigh-In

Don't worry about posting #'s, this thread is just to post your progress, to vent frustrations or to ramble on about anything related to weight loss.

ROFL.... We have no scale. I can only tell by trying on my clothes and looking in the mirror. So far I feel pretty chubby still. And the belly flab is an entity in and of itself, moving independently with no regard to common decency.

This got pinned above Birth Stories. Was that on purpose?

I have to confess that instead of working on losing my weight I have been indulging in cookies and ice cream and pop. I have had headachs and have been super groucchy and tired and irratable...... Hmmmm maybe this has something to do with the headaches..... I apparently eat like S**t lol. I need a butt whooping to fit into my dress for the wedding in June :P Maybe I'll have better progress by Monday? lol

I can relate! There's like waterbed action going on under my shirt.

When we were at the hospital with Coben the Dr. was sharing information about Coben needing a spinal tap. A very serious moment. Cady (my darling 2 year old) kept pulling up my shirt and yelling, "You have a squishy tummy mom!" I think someone needed some attention.

he he, yeah I am in the "my belly and butt could have their own zip codes" club! I have lost my pregnacy weight, it is just all in desperate need of redistribution! I just ordered the 10 minute trainer (by Tony Horton) I plan to start next week...10 minutes a day...I think I can do that...we'll see.

Well, I've lost about 25 lbs., but I have about 20 more to go. And everything looks flabby and still a little puffy. I'm hoping there's still some water weight going on. All the Easter chocolate was a bit of a splurge, so I'm trying to go healthier now.

Have a wedding to go to in August and am a bridesmaid, so that's my goal for getting back to normal. Should be doable...just need the motivation. Lately, I've been taking the boys for a long walk. Stroller + 14 lbs. in a baby bjorn really does feel like a workout. We can do it ladies!

    Re: Monday Weigh-In

I've lost 30 of my 46 gained so I have a ways to go. I don't plan to diet though. I already cook mostly low-fat meals from Cooking Light so if I don't go crazy obsessing about it, it will come off slowly.  Playing Wii Fit every night too, that should help. Just having to get on that darned scale and have it tell me I'm overweight and my initial age comparison was to a 50 year old...now THAT is a motivator!

    Re: Monday Weigh-In

I seem to have hit a plateau on the weight loss front.. I'm down 20 of my 30 lb gain & am stuck.. I'm cutting out as much sugar & junk food as I can stand lol (sometimes you just NEED it..) and drinking mostly water. Finding time to do any kind of workout has been challenging, but is getting easier as she gets older and a little more independent. Yesterday I was able to use my ab-roller and do some arm exersizes with my weights. When she is having a crab day where she won't let me put her down, I walk up and down my stairs with her so I get something. I told hubby that I want to dedicate 30 mins a day to exersizing.. hahahahahahaha.. yeah.. right. lol.. It is almost pool season, so I'm getting in gear. I have a 2 piece and am determined to wear it - my boobs are finally big enough to fill it out lol! I also have the wii fit, but have only used it once since Lilly got here. My age comparison was my real age, which is not bad, but when I was able to use it during pregnancy, my age comparison was usually several years younger than my real age, so I guess I need to get my equilibrium stabilized again.. I don't have to compensate for the baby in the belly anymore :)

    Re: Monday Weigh-In

I got weighed for the first time today at my WIC appointment. I am 3 weeks post partum and I have lost 24 pounds, which sounds good except that I gained 52, so I have 28 to go and then 20 more to get to my pre kid weight, not sure that'll ever happen though. Having 3 kids in 3 years has done a number on my body, plus I don't think my boobs will ever get back down to a size b, which they were before kids. My plan is not to diet because I don't do good with depriving myself. I have made one change, switched to diet soda and crystal light. I figure if I don't drink my calories that's a step in the right direction. I also have an exercise bike, so I figure it's a good time to start that. I just want my clothes to fit and to not feel self conscious anymore, I guess the numbers themselves don't really matter.
