My baby attends daycare. She is 5 months old. I send 3 bottles each day and each bottle has 4 oz of breast milk. She eats about every 2.5-3 hours at daycare. I read through info on the website kellymom.com and according to that Eden should only be eating around 3-4 oz at each feeding. (I used the little calculator thing.) Well, Eden's teacher keeps hounding me about sending more milk for her. She says it is not enough and that she thinks she is still hungry after a bottle. I disagree with that. First of all, Eden is a high needs baby. Basically she is a fussy baby that is only content when you are constantly giving her attention. Second of all, my mom keeps her on fridays and says that she does fine with just the 3 bottles. Last, Eden eats every 3-4 hours for me at home. Sometimes she even waits 5 hours. Just last weekend I tried her with rice cereal from a spoon. She gagged on the first few bites. I honestly don't want to do solids yet. So my question is this, should I be sending her more breast milk? If so then I may as well switch to formula because I do good just squeeze out the 12 oz. I pump 3 times a day at work for 15-20 minutes at each session and I barely get 4 oz each time. I don't know what to do.
