    Is this serious? Help!

Thursday night, Aislynn would NOT go to sleep. she was up till almost 2 am (normally out like a light at 8pm). Then about 2am she vomited copious amounts of breastmilk. otherwise she seemed very happy, alert and normal. after her throwing up (and subsequent bath) she fell asleep.

Friday was mostly normal, ate normally, still very active and smiley. no vomit of note, but stayed up till about 10pm (I chalk that up to the messed up bedtime the night before.

Today, she projectile vomited on DH this morning. She ate normally throughout the day, but slept almost all day. seriously, like 3 naps of 3 hours each! She also only had wet diapers since friday afternoon, no poop. Ear thermometer read 99.7 and armpit temp read 98.4 (but that thermometer is a piece of crap) Then she woke up at 9:30 tonight and seemed very normal. Had a poopy diaper and I was thinking she was okay. she started fussing to I warmed a bottle of breastmilk, which she ate, but only got about 3.5 oz before she SPEWS everywhere. I mean it looked to be way more than the 3.5 ounces she just ate, and she hadn't eaten in 4 hours. I cleaned her up and she fell asleep again.

DH says let her sleep it off, but I'm wondering if I should try to go get some pedialyte or something. In spite of the vomit and excess sleep today she really has been VERY happy and normal while awake. Not at all listless or cranky. (she's never really a cranky baby).

anyway, just looking for some BTDT opinions on whether this is something that sounds serious or if I should just let her sleep it off.

It sounds like she has a little tummy bug. I think as long as she has wet diapers and not temp(100 or higher) she should be ok. Is she only bottle or both? Maybe with the bug you should only give her the boob. RIght now the bottle may be too much. I would let her sleep it off. Just make sure she drinks as much as she can.

Sorry I don't have an opinion bc I don't know what I would think if it were Luke. I just wanted to say that I hope she is okay and it's nothing serious. Get well soon Aislynn!!!

I agree with pp, it does sounds like a tummy bug.  As long as she is peeing, alert and doesn't have a sunken look about her she'll be best on just breastmilk.  Catherine has a nasty tummy bug last month, no fun, lasted 4 or 5 days.
