    Too much soap

I am having the hardest time getting the soap out of my dipes! I don't know what to do. I bought some Purex free and clear about a month ago and have been using that. Well last week DS started to get a rash everywhere the dipes touched. So I threw them all in the washer and let it fill up and start agitating and there was a TON of soap still in them. I had been using 1 tablespoon. So I started using 1 teaspoon and it's still too much. The load I did today I had to do 6 rinse cycles and I'm not even sure that I got all the soap out. I hope I did but I'm just not sure. Has anyone else had this problem before? Should I switch to a different brand?

    Re: Too much soap

I just recently needed to "strip" my diapers because I think I was using too much soap. ( I just started using some Bare Naked Cleaners detergent). I'm not sure why it would be sudsing so much after using a teaspoon but you could try stripping the diapers by just doing several HOT washes in a row. Then you could go back to using a teaspoon of Purex and see how you do. I have been using Allen's naturally which has worked wonders. I've also used Charlies Soap with no problems in the past but I know some people have had issues with that soap irritating the skin so I wouldn't try it for your DS.
