He is busy...is it because he is a boy???
Ok, I have to rant.....this little baby is all over the place.....whoever made childproof items knew what they were doing....who knew that a 8.5 month old would make a bee line to the power outlets????
Just a second ago, he was trying to pull up on the printer cord that was plugged into the outlet.......yesterday he pulled the cord on this fake dolphin aquarium that was on his dresser and it fell(Thank God, not on top of his head)....he also tried to pull the night light out of the plug......he notices every single string, piece of paper, crumb...even his own spit spots that he leaves on the bedding......its amazing....!
He doesn't really watch tv, but its on alot...and if there is a catchy jingle, he will stop breathing and turn to look at the commercial until it goes off......
He puts everything into his mouth...and follows us everywhere....and pulls on us until we pick him up....he even tries to pull up on my husband's leg hair! Gosh!
He crawls straight to the edge of the bed and then stop and sits up...RIGHT ON THE EDGE!!!
He pulls on EVERY cord that he sees....cable cord, power cord, laptop power cord,
During bath time....instead of playing with his bath toys, he tries to pull up on the spout(the spout covers do not fit our spout I don't think), the jets, the edge......(I am going to go and get that bath seat from Safety 1st...!!).....
I have to go and buy a gate for the stairs now.....because every blue moon he will venture out on his own and crawl off a few feet......
Well, I gotta go....he's trying to put the duct tape and night light into his mouth.....!! Amazing! lol!

Sounds just like Marcos. We packed up the playpen awhile ago because it took too much space in our little living room. so hes constantly going from the room to the kitchen.

Noah is the same way. I have never seen a baby move so fast for electrical cords, and dog bones.

Re: He is busy...is it because he is a boy???
It's not just a boy thing, I assure you. I posted on facebook about this awhile back. Lily has grown tired of most of her toys. She really seems to enjoy things that will kill her most of all. Things that could fall on her, strangle her, choke her, poke an eye out, suffocate her, electrocute her . . . the list goes on. I'm thinking about that bath seat too, but I imagine she'll hate it just like she hates the exersaucer now. Oh, and Lily's favorite thing to eat?? Kirkland Super Premium Dog Food. If it's out, she goes right for it. I caught her in it yesterday, and she had a piece in her mouth. I tried digging it out, and she fought me. She finally flung herself back, hitting her head on the tile floor. She wound up swallowing the piece whole.

GASP!!!!
And trying to get items out of the mouth.....yep..! He doesn't really fight me, but he clenches his teeth(gums) pretty tight.....he LOVES paper products....I mean he wil dive for it......and I've fished out globs of paper that were stuck to the roof of his mouth....I'm postive he has swallowed some behind my back......
And yes, they love stuff that will kill them....I told my husband...'We have to save him from himself..!'
And he doesn't really like being in the exersaucer...but will sit on your knee and play with the toys that way......
This kids are too funny!

OMG thats hilarious. Joe is just like that, esp. with the cords. He loves cords. and paper. My DD was so not like that. She would just play with toys and was always content where she was. Night & Day...

Lol no my girl is the same....yesterday I caught her riding our Shidzu dog like a pony!!!!! She was on her back holding her fur riding that dog! This was accomplished in a matter of seconds while I went to make a bottle.

LOL! This is Lilly's favorite too! Yesterday I had to dig a piece out of her mouth...YUCK!
Yes, I would have to agree that this is not a boy thing, but a baby thing =) Sure keeps us on our toes!

LOL at Lanie. Would have loved to see that!! Its not a gender thing. None of my kids have been that full on, thank God, you poor mommies! lol Rian is on the verge of crawling, so I don't know what he's going to do yet.

That's Haley. With Mara I just had to point to something and make a scared face and she never touched it again. With Haley, she seems to know the most dangerous thing within reach and go straight for it. And she's SOOOOO FREAKING strong!!! Luckily she's not crawling fast yet (or well, lol) so I've still got time to get the gates up. I'm gonna need them! Gonna have to confine her to a small area until she understands "no"!

OMG! i almost fell out of my chair laughing on the dog food thing! Teegan is the same way- as soon as I get home and put her down, she makes a beeline for the dog food. poor dog knows she better eat up during the day because from 5 until 8pm, her food gets put on the counter out of Teegan's reach!
The only things that makes me feel better about it is that the FDA is much stricter about standards dog food than human food!

Sam's favorite food was dog food for teh longest time, adn he will still eat it occasionally. I have to watch him when I give the dogs treats because he has been known to take a treat from the dog and eat it! Lila hasn't found the dog food yet.
