We're pretty sure he has thrush. Everything I've read says it can be common after getting over being sick and he's recuperating from have a little cold. We noticed it late Friday night but it was way after hours for his doctor, and it didn't seem bad enough to bring him to the hospital. Especially with all the cases of H1N1 in town right now, the waiting rooms are packed with sick people. And we only found out tonight that there's stuff you can buy over the counter to clear it up, but all the drug stores were closed at the time. We think it's gotten worse though because he's getting pretty fussy with eating (he won't even touch his cereal and he loves that stuff) and he's sleeping more than usual, so first thing in the morning we're bringing him to see his doc. I think it might be bad enough to need a prescription now. Poor little pet, I just hope we get this cleared up for him soon. I hate seeing him sick and upset, and I can honestly say I now HATE flipping weekends!!
