    Fever seizures

Anyone have experience with fever seizures. We took Zach to the ER on wednesday because he had one at home. He had another while waiting for the ER. That was the scariest thing i have ever seen. Thank goodness for my husband, he knew what to do since he had experience with seizures before.

We are keeping Zach on tylenol and motrin for now so the fever doesn't come back. They can't figure out why he is getting a fever, he is negative for swine and RSV, they are treating him with Tamiflu just a precaution. Doctor says it is just a virus, but I don't want him to have anymore seizures. i felt so helpless.

!! I'm so sorry to hear this! :( I don't have any personal experience with fever seizures, but saw them a lot when I worked in the ER. The good news is they usually don't have any lasting effects. Yikes! I can't imagine how scary that would be for you! I'm glad your husband was able to help out. I hope Zach gets feeling better very soon!

it is tough. I have heard about them but never experienced them. I would warn you to be cautious from now on cause I hear once they are sensitive to them it can happen all the time. so when he starts getting a fever I would treat it quickly to make sure it doesn't spike.
