  Baby not crawling yet Reply Contact My concern is that my 8 month old is not yet crawling. He gets up on his arms and legs separately but can't quite get it together. He is sittiing up and reaching for stuff that is higher, as I think he will soon start to pull himself up. There is a 16 year age gap between my last child and this one. If anybody could provide advice as to if I should be concerned, this would be greatly appreciated!!! New Mommy after all these years!!!

I have been advised to get a baby walker that also has a sit to support her once she's tired. There's a high chance our kids may skip the crawling stage, or do it briefly...

  Re: Baby not crawling yet Reply Contact Don't worry about this at all - my 11-year-old never crawled. He just one day got up and started walking around furniture at around 11-12 months and then didn't walk on his own until 14 months! Now my 10-month-old (yes, a big age gap) just started crawling two weeks ago! It is fun to see this one crawling, as I did not experience this the first time around. Each child develops at their own pace and believe me, they catch up with everyone else in a hurry!! Enjoy your baby just staying in one area for now!!

He scoots on his behind (fast I might add) He pulls up to things and walks while holding on but will NOT have anything to do with crawling. If you try to put him on his knees and "help" him crawl he immediatley sits up. My seven year old crawled but I don't think this one ever will.

  Re: Baby not crawling yet Reply Contact hi, my baby only started crawling abt 10mths,..she crawls like an army crawling on the floor.it was very cute indeed.she tried the standard crawling but she fails,,all she does is pushes her bump forward and front in one place. one of the things that helps baby to crawl is by putting them on those ABCD flaw mats.This helps baby to crawl since the base is soft.My baby started crawling within 3 days after i put her on this mat. Try not to carry baby or do not restrict her movements..lately I taught her to stand on my thighs.NOW she tries to stand on her own holding to the sette.but she is still not very steady. dont worry abt ur baby not crawling..my mother in law said my husband did not crawl at all,,he started walking when he was 11months.
