    New here!

So I'm not really new to pregnancy weekly, or to the army...it's more returning to all of the above. I'm a divorced army wife only to find myself engaged to an amazing man and we are looking at a deployment sometime soon. I have two beautiful babies, my daughter is 4 1/2 and little miss drama....and my son will be 3 on the 9th of next month. He's...well...a handful at times. Um...I can't think of anything else...so I'll wrap this up. OH! We are at Ft. Carson and I would love to possibly meet some other wives/mommies from the area. I've only been here for about a month and I'm DYING for some adult interaction! HELP! lol.

hey there!! How'd you like Ft Carson so far? DH really wants to PCS there but I am not sure if I want to be in the cold. Have you met any other spouses/SO of the people in his unit? That is where all my friends came from here. Its like a mini mom's groups since it seems we all have kids around the same age...adult time for us and kid time for them.

I love Carson/Co Springs. It's a huge change from Polk (which is were we were before) and I love the laid back atmosphere of it all. I've met one other mommy...but only becasue we both had our kids at the park, lol. As far as anyone in his unit, I don't know anyone. We've been here for a little under two months and he's either been in class or in the field and I haven't even had a chance to really see him let alone anyone else. Ah, gotta love the army hours, lol. He mentioned there being a gathering awhile ago so all the new families could meet but so far nothing. Also, the FRG doesn't seem to exist (so sad...not) except during a deployment. I've tried getting involved in a church but shortly after attending I found out there was a shooting there nearly a year ago...and it seems a wee bit cultish. Creepy! What happened to the nice little home town type churches? Oh, and yes, the cold is awful, but luckily we have heaters. I'm starting to get used to it and the view by far out weighs the cold. Just recently Pikes Peak has recieved snow and it's amazing! It's beautiful here... We've done some serious talking and we have decieded that this is where we want to buy our home and settle down for good. Next spring we're house shopping!
