    new to homeschooling

Hi Just to start my name is Catherine and I have six beautiful children. We just started homeschooling about a month ago, for various reasons. I was wondering if any of you have more then one that you teach, I am doing 3rd grade 2nd grade and kindergarten. How do you have your program set up to teach multiple levels and what kind of cirriculum are you using? We are using A squared right now along with any kind of resource I can use for free online. I am struggling a little, especially on getting my 7 year old to listen to me. We are going to keep with it, because we believe it is the right thing for our children, but I could use any advise you seasoned homeschoolers could give. I want this to be a good experience for my boys and me, but the last couple of weeks it has been more of a fight with them to do their assignments or even just read. My boys would prefer to just make pokemon cards all day. I have made us a schedual and we are done with school by lunch time. I have also included "special areas" into our daily schedual, like computers, art, music, library, and gym. I do know and knew that it was going to be rough at the begining I just need a litte reassurance I guess. I wont be back on here for a while, we are going camping and I am trying to figure out how to change our lesson plan to incorporate the outdoors. Thanks again, and sorry this is a little long. Catherine
