    Too cute not to share

My son is turning 2 in a few weeks, I cannot believe how far we have come. He is still nursing alot and does not want to give it up! Because he is speaking so well it is funny to hear him comment on nursing. Yesterday he said to me in a sweet voice "Thank you mamma for Baba is so yummy" Cracks me up. It is worth everything to hear that from him!

Good luck to you all for making it this far.

Laura, mom to twins girls age 10, single girl age 8 and my baby boy age almost 2.

So adorable! I am also still breastfeeding my daughter, she's a year and 7 months. When she wants to be fed she says "milk". A part of me can't wait to stop nursing but another will miss our bonding time together.

That is the cutest thing ever!!! I'm still nursing my one year old, and he makes the MMM-mmm noise when he's nursing now, it's the same noise we make when wer'e feeding him solids. He started doing it about a month ago and DH laughs every time he hears it! I'm starting to get flack from my family for still nursing him, but I have no intention of stopping anytime soon (and neither does he!) I can't wait till he can weigh in on it with his own vocal opinions!

    That is tooooo cute!

I BF my daughter for a little over 2 years, but I felt I needed to stop when my 2nd was about 3 months old.  He was born with congenital heart defects and we had to watch his growth so closely I didnèt want to risk him not getting enough.  She weaned well, with a lot of discussion about why we were stopping, although it broke my heart.  My son self-weaned at around 18 months (this made me sad too) and I currently have a one week old daughter who I will BF until shes ready to stop or until she starts Kindergarten...whichever comes first.
