    Which language you prefered??

Ok...Ii know some of you speaks bilingual and you want your kid to speak your mother's language too one day. What about if you are Tri-lingual couples. I speak Indonesian-English and my hubby speaks English-Spanish and we want to raise our kid speak another language except English. Well.. I want them to speak Indonesian very well one day and he wants them to speak Spanish more. lol we are debating and poor of the baby he don't know what's going on. How you deal with this situation?? would you preferred your mother's language or his mother's language?

I speak English-Spanish and my husband speaks English-French. We speak all 3 to my son, with limited English. For example, I speak mostly Spanish and DH speaks mostly French to our son. When speaking to one another, however, we both speak English. I'm confident that my son understands all 3 languages. Also, he is in daycare and they speak English there as well.

It all depends upon the situation. It would be great if you can teach your child all of the languages. One way to choose is to see which side of the family speaks less English. You would want your child to speak to their relatives so it is best to have your child learn that language.
