I lost my mucus plug around 10 that morning and started getting menstral-feeling. Started getting mild but regular contractions by 2:30pm. Then by 4:00 they were about 5 minutes apart so we decided to stop by the hospital to see what was up. I was 4 cm when I showed up and so they put me in our room (which happened to be the same one that I was in for DS' birth too). My labor progressed very quickly and I went into a very hard labor almost too fast. I almost missed the window to get an epidural. I was in so much pain I was punching my bed and swearing during contractions which were about a minute apart. I delivered Max an hour after I got my epidural. Luckily it wasn't a strong, full epidural so I could still feel my legs and knew when to push. I pushed for 15 minutes and he came out.
He is a very quiet, calm and content baby. Great breastfeeder and good sleeper. Doesn't mind all the noise from DS either, who has already taken quite a liking to "His baby."
