    another doc appt update

met with a doc today...with both babies being head down, i don't need a c-section and i was told they CAN do an induction as long as it is "slow"...um, how do you have a "slow" induction??? i have another appointment next friday, which i'll end up taking ALL of the kids to as jason has to work, but that's fine, it's just a regular appointment, so i'm not too concerned about it...i need to ask if they'll do a u/s to follow up with the position of the babies and what not...i also need to ask how far they'll "let" me go with both head down before i get to the point where they would want to do some kind of induction...

jason is supposed to have his vasectomy on the 17th of july, he got a hold of the woman, they are looking at starting scheduling in october...it's a ways out, however we can figure out the b/c until it happens...i imagine for the first few months we won't feel too desireours (is that even a word?) with all the babies and what not to care for...

my bp is normal again, i was right, it's the automatic machine that does that to me..i have swelling in my feet and fingers, but i'm ok with that...

with the babies being over 4 pounds each and i'm now past 33 weeks, if i go in to labor (at least according to this doc) they won't try to stop it...while baking another week or 3 would be good, is it really that wrong of me to hope it happens sooner?? ugh, i'm SO over this already...i've been waking up each morning with HORRID cramping in my legs, and i've been making sure to get a dose of calcium each day...and the heat is not helping my lovey dovey happy feelings at all! i know this next month is going to get crazy, but as long as i'm NOT pg through most of it, i'll be OK! i have an open schedule with my therapist, so i'm hoping that with her help i'll be able to handle the breast feeding/pumping to the point that i can get over the hurdle and make it 2nd nature...it's all psychosematic for me, there are no physical inhibitions to it, so thankfully that helps...

evening primrose is now a daily thing for me...1000 mg orally a day and starting tonight i'm going to do the suppository (or as lube for sex, i got that idea from a mom on a different board and it makes sense to me) and hope that it really kicks my cervix in to gear...if i can go in to labor on my own and deliver vaginally i know that will really help with my recovery!

DH had his vasectomy consult a couple of weeks ago and will be having his in August probably.  You are right, you probably won't have much desire or time for the first few months anyway.  Hang in there, make it to 36 weeks so those babies can come home with you.  Now and then 35 weekers get to go home right away but it is better.  I remember wanting to to be over really badly.  My OB scheduled my iduction with the twins for 37 weeks 4 days and my water broke the day before.  You can do it mama.   Oh, try to get into a pool and just submerge to get rid of all that pressure.  YAY for head down babies, my two were head down from 32 weeks on and I delivered both vaginally.  I did end up with pitocin to kick start labor as after my water broke I didn't start having contractions on my own.

i live in michigan, pools are pretty much non existent because they raise the insurance on the home and you can only use them for MAYBE 2 months of the year....there is NO way i'm going to a public pool...i can't handle the smell of bleach when it's used with a cleaning product...all that chlorine they put in the public ones give me an INSTANT headache...blech...i'm 34 weeks 2 days right now...and they've moved...jack is head down, but it seems abbey is totally taking advantage of the fact that jack has really dropped down and is all stretched out transverse now, like a big t....ugh, hits in the cervix, jumping on the bladder AND heartburn still....i definately want to be at least 35 weeks before they come...but that's personal..james and jayden leave on the 7th (the day before i hit 35 weeks) to go to wisconsin for a month and i'd really like them to be gone before the babies come!

I wouldn't want to go to a public pool either if it is chlorinated.  You might call around and see if there are any that use bromine instead of chlorine, it is just as effective as a sterilizer but doesn't smell.  It is so much better.  A lot of the public pools, especially indoor pools have gone that way around here.  Hang in there, I remember how hard it was.
