I know it's been a really long time since I've been on and I hope you ladies remember me. Lydia is doing wonderful. She started preschool last week which was a little hard on mommy but she had a blast. She went last year too so it wasn't a new experience. She is getting so big. She does still recieve speech therapy but has made HUGE progress in the last year. This time last year I couldn't understand 50% of what she said but now I can usually understand what she says and others can too. She is doing so much better. She has been diagnosed with sensory procesing disorder, which for her means that she some of her senses are hyperactive, such as touch and texture, and others are hypoactive, such as her need to run and have teh hard joint compressions. She gets some therapy for it but most of it is mostly me working with her. She is overall a wonderful child who has been through some rough patches but things are better now. She is a very bright child and loves to learn. She asks questions about anything and everything and remembers forever what she does and what she learns. Seriously she still remembers our trip to teh aquaruim when she was less than 18 months old and talks about her tript ot he zoo when she was 2. She is a sponge that absorbs anything put in front of her.
For an update on me. I'm dating a guy that I've been seeing for 3 years now. Lydia is liking him, he loves us both, and is willing to be there for me still even through my grieving process I've been through after losing DH. He has been there for me through everything. I've gone back to school to be a radiology tech and have about 18 months to go because of finances so I am only taking a few classes at a time. I know though that I can get through school and will be better off for doing it. I'm also going to be homeschooling at least for Kindergarten.
If I can figure out how to put a pic on here I will post a pic of her
