Surrogacy

In a surrogacy arrangement, a woman agrees to become pregnant in order to carry and give birth to a child others will raise. Surrogacy is often the only option available to an infertile couple who wants to have a child that is genetically related to at least one of them, yet it is controversial and illegal in many parts of the United States. Share your views and experience with surrogacy with other members of this board.

I was hoping to find other women interested in this and some who have already done it or are doing it. Is there anyone out there who's given this any thought?

I've thought about being a surrogate once I'm done having babies, Haven't done a lot of research on the topic but I'm definetly interested in individual stories that ladies have, from either side of surrogacy.

I'm interested in becoming a surrogate, as well. I am a baby machine and would give anything to be able to help others who can't carry children. I've not looked into it either and am not at all in it for the money.

I would love to be a surrogate. Unfortunately, I've had two preterm births that would prevent me from doing so. I think it's one of the most unselfish things to do for a family. I have thought of being an egg donor though. Since I have good, strong eggs, I'm sure I could help a family out in that way.

I have thought about it, but having my thyroid removed will probably prevent that from ever happening now.

I have thought about being a surragant. With two healthy kids already I don't want anymore for myself but always loved being pregnant. I thought it might be an option for me to help someone else.

I'm a surrogate and due this Oct 15th. Am excited for the family. This is my 6th pregnancy and I have 5 of my own kids. But this will be my last time carrying a baby. But glad to have this experience.
