LOL you sound like me. There are times when I think now now now but then there are other times I am like am I ready right NOW? And half the time the answer is NO because we still have quite a bit we need lol. I don't have the bouncer, swing, or the rest of the cloth diapers I need hehe.
Well I am rooting for you all. The FBI clearance stuff was the longest wait for us. We had to get some crap sorted out and it took 1 1/2 months I believe. THEN we had a friend and work references who didn't even turn their references in to our agency! FINALLY our social worker called and just did a phone interview with the work ones. SO unprofessional of the jobs!
Well our social worker told me a week ago that our paperwork is DONE! And the 21st our director should have did the final signing BUT our SW was on vacation the rest of this past week and we won't hear how it all went until THIS week lol. It's a load of bs I tell you.
I'm not even sure when we'll be able to get on that waiting list. I'm hoping within this next month BUT I always say that. Once they get ready for us we'll have to fill out our profile that has some faq in it for potential birthparents ... and then our photos and story. (But I already have that stuff ready for the agency -- i've been working off of the online profiles i've read hehe).
After that we're told we have to drive to St. Loius (3 hr drive for us) and attend some kind of conference where we listen to a birthparent and an adoptive family talk about their journey. And then we wait --- or i'm assuming that's how it all goes. They haven't told us jack really. I'm upset but I deal with it b/c there's no where else to really turn .... we can pay for this agency without taking out any loans and that's a nice feeling. So, we deal!
GL and keep in touch with me. Waiting for paperwork approval has been a KILLER for me. It's been over 4 months and we still don't have that approved paperwork in our hands!
