Hi Lisa! I have no right in messaging here either, because I'm not even pregnant, lol! But your post was on the homepage of pw and it caught my eye.
First of all, congratulations!!! After 5 1/2 years of trying, you've got to be over the moon to finally be pregnant! And to have it happen all on your own, after fertility treatments is incredible!! Dh and I tried for 3.5 years for our first, so I know how amazing and overwhelming it all is to finally see a positive on a pregnancy test! Almost surreal.
Anyway ~~ just wanted you to know that I have a bicornuate uterus, too. And I gave birth to two 9 lb. babies and an almost 8 pounder. :) You can do it! Just take one day at a time. If you're like me, you'll start to feel Braxton Hicks contractions very early. Drink lots of water, put your feet up as much as you possibly can, and rest. Because of the bicornuate uterus, all three boys were born by C-section. My first got to a certain point and ran out of room to turn, so he was breech. My second was head down and we were hoping for a vbac, but he also ran out of room and turned sideways at 39 wks., so we scheduled the section. With my third, I had placenta previa, so he was an automatic section no matter what position he was in. :)
I'm so glad that your drs. are keeping such a close eye on you! Feel free to pm me if you ever need. I am so happy for you. I'll keep you and this little one in my prayers.
A very happy Thanksgiving to you, Lisa.
