    Romy/CVS

Hi, Romy... you asked about CVS testing in a different thread. What has your OB told you about it? I hope that is not who said it happens at 5 mos! CVS is done between 10 and 13 weeks. It is an "invasive" procedure, but my experience with it was a positive one. I had mine done at about 12 weeks. Got the results 2 weeks later. It was really nice to know everything was good to go that early on. With my others I had amnios (I am currently 45, had my first child at 36 and have done testing with all 4). If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Best of luck to you!

    Re: Romy/CVS

I think I must have read it incorrectly regarding 5 weeks. I had my first appointment and sono was done, all is well. My bloodwork results came back and all is also well. I had my first Genetics Counseling and all the diagnostic options were explained and CVS is done in the first trimester and that was the scariest to me so I'm definitely not doing that one. The Omnio is a may be, I'm deadly scared of needles and the thought of one going into my stomach too much for me bare.. I think I will be doing the AFP, less invasice. I feel more comfortable giving more blood and getting the indept sono scan.. just don't feel comfy about any thing else. I'm in my 11th week now and the nausea is just beging to ease up and I'm barely feeling like my old self. I just can't wait to get back my apetitie, right now i have no desire for anything, I eat because it is fuel and my baby needs it..but that's it. Other than the nausea and the exhaustion, things are going well and I couldn't be more happy.
