He left me when I was 35 weeks pregnant

I am now 36 weeks along. It's been rough with him, but he promised to be there for me and his baby. He left me so coldly. He sent me an email a couple days after he left, saying leave him alone, and said "let your mom help you with your *** baby" It shocked and devastated me! What a change of heart!! He wanted me to get pregnant. He went with me to prenatal appts and ultrasounds. He was so happy when we found out. I just don't understand. I am so depressed. I can barely eat. I cry all the time. I'm embarrassed to go have my baby alone, everyone will talk and tell how I had to have my baby alone. (I live in a small town) I feel so hurt. How could he so cruel? He left us when we needed him most. I didn't just lose my love, I lost my baby's dad, I feel like I let my baby down too. I don't know what I did. He had drug addiction issues in the past. He was having drinking issues while we were together, he left when he was drunk. I'm pretty sure he was sober when he wrote that email. I heard he's back with his ex, I heard she's pregnant from him too!! I didn't know he was cheating, I only suspected! I'm all alone now and I don't know what to do.

Honey I was there too. He actually left me after I had the baby. Well, I left him, he wanted me to live there like his roommate and I said hell no. He was cheating on me with a co-worker and right after I left I found out she was pregnant. In the end he ended up being miserable with her and wanted me back, I was actually the one that said NO THANKS! It's rally hard and it will be a hard road to travel but once you've gone through all the pain and hurt (it took me about 2 months of really bad crying and losing weight) you will look back and thank god you're out of a bad situation. I know you love him, I did too but think about what's best for your baby and you. You two are more important and who needs a man who could just walk out on his family and his responsibilities. I prayed for the first month that my DD would come back to me but after awhile the crying lessened and I slowly got my life back and it turned out to be a way better life. I am now married to a great man and we are on our fourth child. Just keep your head up girl! There is a light at the end of the tunnel it will just take time to reach it. Be strong...

You WILL have your happy ending ! Think positive because youre baby is the prize at the end of this journey. Let Him go, You are stronger than Him. YOU CAN do this! it SEEMS harder, but when Your baby arrives youll cry tears of joy instead of pain.

Dont bother with the thoughts of others, DO NOT deprive YOURSELF of happiness that YOU and your baby deserve. Trust me, i am 20 years old 32 weeks pregnant, unmarried to a 30 year old, who out of these 9 months has been in the same country as me for ONE month, and barely wants to be here when the baby is born......He has left me and returned.......

Its time to think of the baby and yourself! And do not think because You are going to be a single parent, you feel weak or look weak in the eyes of others, BECAUSE you are EVERYTHING BUT WEAK! You are capable to stand tall and smile throughout it all.....

    SMILE !! Youre not alone!

Let him go and don't take him back when he tries to come back, as he probably will. Plenty of awesome people were raised by one parent (Barack Obama for one) and you will do fine. Your baby needs a healthy environment and a drunk and/or addicted father who does not care who he hurts is not part of that healthy environment.

Hi i just read yr post and am sorry to hear that. Some men can be real pricks sometimes. In the end just like the other women said you will come out of this stronger and happier then ever. At first it will be hard because you didn't plan on doing this alone but trust me you can do it. I am a mother of a seven year old and the first two years of her life we was on the run from a abusive man (her father aka the sperm donor). I was able to get through that am getting stronger everyday. I am now with my high school sweet heart and we are expecting our first child together (Im 26 weeks). I know its hard, I know you feel shame and i know your are upset but trust me when i tell you it will get better and you will be happy to have that posionious person out of your life. Feel free to him me up when ever. Good luck to you :)
