Hello! I thought I'd start the "official" introduction/EDD thread!
I'm Danielle, mama to nursling Valley (21m). I live in alaska and my EDD is 03.02.2010. I got my bfp at 8dpo, and it was pretty dark. I'm wondering about multiples...maybe? :) probubly wishful thinking.
But I'm SO excited to FINALLY be pregnant! DH and I have been trying for 8 cycles now. YAY FOR BABIES!!!

Re: Introductions and EDD's
Good idea on the intro thread.
I think I said it "unofficially" before, but I'm Mary, 32, SAHM to three beautiful babies, 6, 4 and 16 months. And now our "Sunshine", EDD ?? Possibly 3/1, or earlier. I will see at the OB in a week or so for the official due date. (I may be leaving you ladies for the Feb birth board!)

Re: Introductions and EDD's
Hi,
We just found out we are about 4-5 weeks pregnant. It was a HUGE surprise for us, albeit a happy one. We have two November babies, Jake age 3.5 and Mari age 18 months, so February/March will be something new for us! I have a mild form of a blood disorder where I produce antibodies that attack the embryo as it attempts to implant. We lost two pregnancies (one at 5-6 weeks and one at 10 weeks with two healthy ulrasounds) between my son's birth and went on low dose aspirin therapy which allowed us to successfully carry our daughter. My doctor thinks because we discovered the PG so early, everything will still work out (I took my first aspirin yesterday) so hopefully in a few weeks I will be posting here more often! For now I will probably just lurk if you don't mind. This being my fifth pregnancy in four years, I don't have many questions at the moment:) I will probably post on both February and March boards, but my two previous term pregnancies were between 1-2 weeks before their due dates (but still big and healthy at 9 lbs 15 oz and 9lbs 3 oz). Also I will be attempting a VBAC. I had an emergency c-section with my son (long story) and a wonderful VBAC experience with my daughter. This baby will be a major shake-up for us as he or she will come partially through what would have been the last full semester of my Ph.D. program. We will also need to move into a bigger house (which we were planning on doing a year from now, but have now accelerated to this fall). So I am busy and stressed and worried but more than anything happy (we knew we wanted another one, just didn't realized it would be so soon). I look forward to getting to know you all!

Re: Introductions and EDD's
Hi there, My name is Kris and I was on the TTC board for a long time back in 06-07 until I became pregnant in 8/07 with my son who is now 14 months. We just found out on Father's Day and my EDD (by ovulation) is DH's birthday 3/5/10. If they go by LMP is is 2/19/10, but I know I ovulated very late, when AF was due! We are SO happy that it was so quick - it took 11 months with my son! Congrats to all! ~Kris

Congrats! But how did you get a positive so quickly!? I got a positive with my DS the day I was due to have my period, this time I know I ovulated on the 11th which would make me due around March 4th, but I still haven't gotten a positive... no period though so I'm keeping my chin up!

Re: Introductions and EDD's
I'm Shannon. I have a 14 month old son Owen. I was a part of the April 08 board (with Kris/ Dream07, but I have a different screen name b/c I had closed my PW account after some of the ladies on that board moved to a private board.) I was briefly a member of the Nov. 09 board too, but I had a miscarriage and d&c at 10 weeks. This was our first try since the d&c - after my first natural AF. My EDD by LPM is March 3, but by ovulation date, I think it is closer to March 6 or 7. I go in on 6/29 for labs and I've been told they will watch me more closely since I had a miscarriage last time. I'm remaining cautiously optimistic and hope for a sticky one this time.

Re: Introductions and EDD's
Isla, lurk all you want, but congratulations on the pregnancy! Sending you sticky baby wishes!
My husband is also in the home stretch of his Ph.D. program - he hopes to have it finished by March (as or before the baby arrives?). Nothing like a due date to add pressure, right???
Best of luck on a healthy pregnancy. Looking forward to getting to know you!

Re: Introductions and EDD's
With my four PGs before this I got a positive result at 7 DPO. This time I didn't find out until later, but my HCG levels are usually high with my PGs. Everyone is different. If you look at the HCG scale by week you will see what I mean as the "normal" range is very wide.

Re: Introductions and EDD's
Hey Ladies,
First of all CONGRATS to all of you!
My name is Angela and I'm a mamma to an 11 month old girl who has changed my life in so many beautiful ways. It truly has been the best job in the world!
We've been trying for about 4 months now, as I've slowly been weaning my daughter because I'm going back to work on Monday. Well, I finally got a faint bfp this morning, and when I say faint, I mean I had to rip open the test and drag the strip out into the light to double check. There was a line! There's still that little voice inside me saying I need to test again, so I'll test tomorrow just to be 100% sure!
We're so thrilled! We lost our first baby when I was 22 weeks pregnant. She had Turner Syndrome and stopped growing at 17 weeks, so when our second pregnancy actually worked out and brought us our little princess, we were over the moon. I'm hoping we are blessed with another baby this time!

HI Danielle! I thought I might find you on here! Congrats again on your BFP!! I'm so excited for Valley to be a big sis!
My name is Keri (25) mommy of 2 boys, Mika (almost5) and Morgan (21Months). My husband and I decided to try for a girl and I'm so excited! This will be our first month trying so I will be extreamly lucky if I get to join all of you. I tested yesterday and got a bfn but I thought I could be lucky and find out early. I have no patience =) I will be testing every three days. Congrats to all! Wish us luck!

Re: Introductions and EDD's
Hi there.....this is my first month TTC and I started temping a few days before I actually ovulated (very late in my cycle). My temp went up and stayed, so I tested at 8 DPO and got a VERY light line - which I knew could have been an evaporation line, but was not sure. I tested each day after with more tests and there was always a faint line - so I kinda wondered if ALL of them could have evaporation lines. I took a digital at 11 DPO and it said Pregnant! I am not sure how I got it so early, but I can say the one at 8 DPO was extremely light, a touch of blue. Best wishes!
