    Bedrest Blues

New to this community, figured this would be a way to vent. About my situation Ive been having bleeding since the beginning of my pregnancy, since I was before 20 weeks doctors said there was nothing they could do just had to wait and see if i would miscarry or not. Through the grace of God I didnt miscarry and I made it past 20 weeks. Up until 25 weeks started having alot of lower pelvic pain and back aches. Ended up going to the er a couple times for what I thought was my amniotic fluid leaking, turns out it wasnt. The next day after going to the er I had a follow up with my doctor who said the aches and pains might just be normal. the next day after the followup appointment I had my glucose text but when I woke up that morning my underwear was soaked with blood. I went ahead to the appointment and told my doctor what happened long story short she told me go to labor and delivery on the 8th of october supposedly for a 24 hour observation and ive been here ever since and will be indefinitely. Im having contractions which theyre trying to control with medication, and keep having epsisodes of bleeding. theyre saying I have abruption and thats whats causing the bleeding so Im stuck here, in bed, away from my two children (who are 3 & 4), in this hospital room isolated from the outside world.

how far along are you now?  i know all about bed rest!  i have been on it for 5 weeks.  i am 24 weeks now.  the first week and a half was in the hospital, and i have been home since, but wed they are admitting me until 32 weeks, so i will be joining you in the hosp....its not fun i know, but well worth it!  abruptions arent pretty, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure they check you often an carefully. i have had a scary experiance with abruptions:(   i have incopetent cervix with a stitch in place now, i also have a history of PROM, PTL, and abruption so im being monitored like crazy!  i have lost 2 2nd trimester babies, one baby 6 hrs after birth and 5 early m/c, so needless to say this is all very scary for me!  i am blessed with a 10yr old son though....good luck to you and i think you and i are the only ones posting here, this board hasnt been that busy lately....
