new to bedrest not sure whats gonna happen

Hello everyone, I am new to this whole bedrest thing. I will be 16 weeks on Friday, 10/23. I have only been on bedrest since tuesday afternoon, and am scared to death. I started bleeding heavily Tuesday and had an emergency ultrasound done on Thursday, thank god, the baby is perfectly fine, healthy and we found out it is a boy as well!! I have never been so relieved to see a heart beat in my life, that all i could ask for, is that he was going to be fine. Well, when they did the internal monitor they found that my placenta is a little lower than it should be, and that is what could be causing all the bleeding, but i go back to the OB tomorrow at 11am to see what happens, and where we need to go from here. I am no one to complain, but i can not believe how much your body when not adjusted to laying down and taking it easy can make you super sore. I clean houses for a living and chase a 9 y.o around every day, and just am always on the go, and havent had this much rest in a long time, if ever..LOL I am just hoping all will be well, and that the baby first and foremost is going to be fine, as we had a miscarrige on 3 weeks into our last pregnancy back in Feb. 2009. Anyone have any idea what could be going on or what they will say at my OB? I would love to meet some people on here, and exchange stories, and find some friends who understand what i am going through, as it is hard to explain to someone else who isnt going through it.

Hello and welcome to the board. I am 31 weeks with Twin boys, and have been on bed rest since week 24. I am on bed rest due to pre term labour, and already have started to dialate and thin out. I know with Placenta previa, the placenta can still move up to 20 weeks I believe. I had a low laying placenta at the begning of my pregnancy with the boys, and it moved. They will most likely monitor it to see if it well move or not. They will also most likely have you on bed rest until it does move, or until you deliver. Best of luck and everything will be fine
