Patricks surgery is here...we go in tomorrow...scary...**updated**

So it is time for Patricks surgery and mommy is getting a little nervous. It is just out patient and we are going to one of the top notch childrens hospitals around...but there is always the thought that something might go wrong...ya know. Poor thing. Gotta have the "personals" cut into...OUCH! From what I heard they recover quickly and do really well at swedish...lets home mommy and daddy do as well! *wink* *winK* FXed crossed for a quick easy surgery and a smooth fast recovery!

So everything went as smoothly as possible. We got there early and Patrick started to freak out the second we walked in the building...typical acutally. Got in to do our vitals and he just wasn't having it. I think we stressed out the triage nurses...LOL. You think they would be used to screaming kids at a childrens hospital. It took about an hour and a half and some bubbles but he calmed down. He even walked to the next waiting area and pushed all the buttons on the elevator. That is big for him. He likes to be carried EVERYWHERE. We played a little bit more and then they gave him his pre-surgery meds...LOL Those are great. With in minutes he was wobbly and slurring. To very cute. Mommy took him into surgery. NOT FUN. I made all the way to him being out before bawling my eyes out. That is pretty good for a preggo lady. Watching him go under was so not cool...scary and such. YIKES. So surgery was suppose to take 1-2 hours and they were suppose to do the left and see about the right. Well it took 45minutes...no work needed on the right and only one incision instead of two on the left! He came through like a trooper. When we were in recovery we weren't sure if he was in pain...then he really woke up and said..." I hurt, mommy...I NEED medicine!" How cute it that. He did great after that. He is upstair running amuck with his brother. One of the first things he asked for was Josh...awww...that was precious. When we went to pick up Josh...my mom said he asked for Patrick all day. This was the first time the were apart since Josh was born. Gotta love those boys!

I will say a prayer that his surgery goes well!! My little one has had one true surgery, but has been under anesthesia twice. Once she had to have some skin tags removed from her cheek the side of her head, she was about 1.5 years old. That wasn't too bad, but I was a nervous wreck and had DH there, but had to comfort him(lol)! Second time I did by myself, DH was out of town, and she had to have a piece of sponge removed from her nose. Noone could get it out without putting her under because it had caused an infection and noone could see what I saw. So she was put under and it was removed.  Easy recovery, but again...made me nervous to know she was going "under" once again.  Good luck and I'm sure that everything will be fine!

My brother had a hydroseal(similar to a hernia) repaired when he was about 2. He's 17 now, but I still remember it. He was swollen and it was hard for him to go pee and actually HIT the toilet because of the swelling. His recovery was pretty easy, though.

I have gotten so many of these skin tags the last two pregnancies. What's the procedure to get them removed?I have one right under my boob where my bra rubs and it gets irritated. I haven't had anyone take a look at them....but they are so annoying and it seems the older I'm getting the more seem to pop up...like in the armpit area, on my neck, and then my bra line where the one is. I was thinking of just wrapping a string around them since there really is no feeling in them and see if it will just fall off....I know I have too many to do that. did the dr explain why we get them?? I'm just curious. Thanks.

Aaawwwww, it is so sweet that the boys were asking for each other!!  So cute, you'll have to write that down for the baby book/memory box!

Glad to hear all went well!
