33 wk check up and OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she is 6lbs already

So....I am doing good... lost another 3 lbs this week alone...!! Then I get to my Non-stress test and they do a fetal weight check... at 33 wks exactly... she is 6lbs.. on the nose... OMG... she is a big girl/...

my OB was already talking... C/S on Dec17th and I was like... PLEEEEEEEEEEASE lets do a trial labor... once he hears this weight... i have a feeling he will not be so open to it....

I don't know what a fetal weight check is but my doctor did an u/s at my 30 week appt and the measurements said my little man was 4 lbs 13 oz. Then the lady at my insurance office went in and got an u/s on her 38 week and it said baby was 7 lbs 14 oz and 2 days later she gave birth to a 6 lb 10 oz baby. So if it was an u/s I would say there is some margin of error.

oh yes there can be a margin of error... my last dd... last year was checked 4days before she was born... and found to be 9 lbs.. and she was 10lbs 2.4 oz at birth... so I do make big babies... and the guy that did that U/S ... did this one as well.. and yes a fetal weight check is an U/S where they do measurements... of the head, abdomen and length.. abdomen is the biggest deciding factor though

I am just looking at the big picture so to speak... I have a fight on my hands to get a VBA2C.... and this can hamper that... cause the doc does take stock in these U/S and what it can do to me....

we'll be checking weight every 2 weeks now...

They told me that both my boys would be over nine pounds... One was 6 lbs 12 oz the other was 7 lbs 1 oz.... I tend to not really listen to their weight "guessing" anymore. I hope they consider your VBAC.

Yup, according to my Dr my baby is big as well. I had posted the Big Baby post earlier and am also worried about a c-section. My tummy has really gotten huge the last few days so I'm really hoping that is just me, and not my baby growing rapidly. Good luck!

Two weeks ago at 33 weeks, 5 days I was told he weighs 5 lbs, 3 oz. The next measurement/weight check for me will be in a week. (They said they only take measurements once every 3 weeks) However I do have an ultrasound to check the fluid levels and such so maybe I'll have more pics to share tomorrow!
