    Questions for you ladies...

I am currently 13 weeks pregnant with my 5th baby. However, I'm measuring a fair bit ahead of where I should be and have already gained 10 pounds, which is not like me at all. What were your earliest indications that you were having more than one baby? I'm waiting for a call from the midwife's office either this week or next to let me know when an ultrasound is scheduled, and that will tell me for sure what is going on...but until then, I'm left wondering. Any info at all would be helpful. I wouldn't mind a set of twins, but I can hardly imagine going from 4 kids to 6 in one jump...

Congrats on baby #5, and possibly 6. For me we found out at 10 weeks it was twins at our first u/s. I didnt start measuring ahead until well into my 2nd trimester, and now almost 35 weeks pregnant have gained a total of 19lbs. It is diff for everyone though, so the high weight gain and measuring ahead could be indicators. For me it was being nauseas all the time and heartburn. Good luck and let us know how your u/s goes

im in the same boat as you only i'm 16 wks first child 3rd pregnancy & i'm huge i've gained 13 lbs & i look like a balloon. i was 20 wks when i lost my son & i was far smaller than this time.. i go for my u/s monday to find out what i'm having & apparently be sure there is only one.. i got an u/s @ 8 wks but i was told that if there are 2 it could have been to early because sometimes they can "hide" behide eachother. so we'll see. i'd love twins as well but i'd be terrified being i'm going to be a first time mother anyhow! good luck Christi! && congrats either way! (:

Thanks ladies. I know this is going to sound scary, but I put on 50 pounds with each pregnancy, only it starts in the second trimester generally. So the 10 in the first trimester really threw me off. I know it's baby 5 and that could just be contributing to it, but I don't remember being as nauseous and tired with my other pregnancies either. I will let you know what the results are once I get my ultrasound. I hope I don't have to wait too long....

The first indicators for me were extreme fatigue and I had nausea really bad well into my second trimester! I found out when I was 6 weeks along with my twins.

Well, I got my ultrasound...there's only one! It's kind of a relief even though I still think it would be neat. And my date is right, which I knew, so I guess I'm just growing faster than ever this time.
