  Where'd you met your Special Someone? Reply Contact So some of the other board i noticed did this & i thought it was cute.. Question is where'd you met your spouse weather husband, boyfriend, fiance'.. etc. whatever you call him l0l! So here is my story.. I lived in Murfreesboro, TN until my Junior yr in Highschool then i moved to live in Dyer, TN [[ middle of nowhere!! ]] I moved back two years later & got an apartment wiith my best friend since 8th grade! She had a little welcome home party for me & DF was invited [[ she had worked with him & they were good friends, she was also dating his best friend at the time ]] First impression of him was what the heck is wrong with this guy? We all went out to the club that night, & sometime after having many drinks he thought he'd come talk to me.. [[ keep in mind my last name is Prince his first name is Prince but i didn't know his name, had no idea who he was really.. ]] He says Hi, heard your last name is Prince, that's cool when we get married my name will be Prince Prince..never introduced himself nothing.. so i'm thinking okay weirdo? get away from me.. he leaves he jacket in my lap! i was like okay? then just walks away.. later my bestfriend explained what he was talking about & who he was.. I ended up stuck with his jacket l0l & carried it home.. [[ pretty sure that was his plan.. ]] He came to the apt. to get it sometime in the next few days & he continued coming over everyday for wks.. althought i enjoyed his company i honestl thought he was the strangest man i'd ever met.. & goofy as it gets! Then he brought over his sons one day after picking them up from daycare.. ladies i melted.. i feel inlove with his boys before even liking him. They are the best behaved children i have ever been around! Sadly after a week he had to take them back to his x wife who lives in Alabama with the boys.. but still everyday he came over.. eventually i was looking forward to seeing him & a few months later we finally started actually dating although i found out he'd already been telling everyone i was his girlfriend.. So he likes to say he knew from day one we'd be together but i think it was the liquor talking that first night l0l. thought i'd let you all see how goofy Df is.. this is May 2009 l0l we had no clue we'd be expecting our first in May 2010 he's was just being silly! gotta love him!

  Re: Where'd you met your Special Someone? Reply Contact Thats a fab pic and great story - liquor or not, sometimes you just know when you've met the one (even a man can sometimes). Well, I had just bought my first pc and was chatting to a friend of mine onlie (who actually lived up the road). we were chatting in a chat room when someone else popped into chat and started chatting to me, a few months later we exchanged phone numbers and then arranged to meet in person. At the time he lived about a 4 hour drive away, but he made the journey and stayed for the weekend. my friend from up the road chaperoned us at first and made sure he wasn't a complete freak, though we're still undecided on that - lol. we had a lovely weekend, went dancing, chatted all night and when he left I actually cried! He came back 2 weeks later and then I visited him at his home for a long weekend. This went on for over a year and half, during which time we saw each other as often as possible and chatted online all the time. even went away to greece together. He then lost his job so we decided that was a sign for him to moveup to where i live (he was renting just outside london which was costing a fortune and i had bought a house up north with minimal outgoings). we went to austraila for his sisters wedding later that year and after we got back we got engaged. we then spent the next few years going away as much as possible, dublin, rome, Caribbean, Egypt, Thailand, Hong Kong, Dubai - even camping in the lake district. you get the picture, we lived the life of riley. we then got pregnant last year and lost baby at 12 weeks. just after his sister had announced she was getting married, this time in america, so off to san francisco we went and another super holiday ensued. we got back and out of the blue Neil decided it was time we got married!! we planned the wedding in just 3 months, went of honeymoon to lake tahoe and the week we got back I knew I was pregnant...... and here I am now!

Prince & I got engaged 3 wks before finding out i was prego l0l. nice huh? we were going to get married this spring but instead we are having a baby so i suppose next spring we will have our wedding.. i've always wanted a spring wedding but don't want one prego so i'll have to wait!

We stayed friends, dated others, and talked all the time throughout high school and college. After college I broke with my then BF of 6 1/2 years. Needless to say 9 1/2 years and soon 3 babies later and there's our happy ending:) Best friends who end up soul mates. I couldn't ask for anything better!

Reply Contact i met my husband on myspace.  i had just recently finished the divorce with my ex and he was going through a divorce with his wife and said he wanted advice (cause shes a serious piece of work!) but eventually he said he thought i was hot and wanted to "hit it" so he used his upcoming divorce to talk to me.  and the rest is history.

I was a little nerd and him and all his freinds would wait til I road my bike down the street and thorw mud balls at me. My family moved when I was 13. We continued to have the same mutual friends, but we lost contact, til one day we both were haning out with that mutual friend and the rest is history. :)

  Re: Where'd you met your Special Someone? Reply Contact My story is atypical I guess. I was looking down the barrel of my 20th birthday coming quickly in about 4 months when I realized I was tired. I was so tired of wanting to be in love and having love fool me. A few friends of mine had decided to do online dating and they were happy and in good relationships with men that loved them. If you've ever been on the outside looking in you know how I felt. I wanted that so bad. I was tired of the men that only wanted sex. So I decided I was going to try. Shortly after signing up for one of the sites i started talking to a guy, we hit it off right away. We had planned to meet but something always got in the way yet we kept it strong. A few months down the road just weeks before my birthday he came to see me and I spent a day of bliss, or so I thought. It didn't take long for my texts and phone calls not to be returned and finally, faitfully on the day of my birthday I received the infamous text, 'This just isn't going to work out and I think if we continue one of us will get hurt' (I would later find out that he had tried to work things out with his ex after a tearful phone call from her). I was devastated, I had invested so much into caring about this guy, and like all the others he had hurt me. I felt jaded and cold. I let the night pass and in the morning I felt vengeful. It's that feeling of I'm going to find someone and forget about this jerk. Even though at the time I couldn't place my finger on it I knew I hadn't done anything wrong. Up to this point I had been using the free membership but alas those always give you limited contact so I made a leap of faith and typed in those credit card numbers and held my breath. About 20 seconds later I had a few mail messages so I decided to look, and there was Kevin. It's funny looking back now because at the time I wasn't sure if I liked him or not. I think it was my hurt feelings and the fact that I felt I couldn't trust myself or others. I have to laugh now because I decided then I was going to guard myself, I wouldn't invest it all like I had before. 3 days later we decided to go on a date. I went and waited at the restaurant for him for what seemed like hours, I had seen a man that looked like who I thought Kevin would look like but still, you have that feeling of awkwardness because you don't want to be wrong. Finally I approached him. Then and there I was floored, I am a sucker for eyes and he had the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen. *blush* The next few months flew by and around thanksgiving he swept me away to Minneapolis on a romantic get away. It was the first morning we were there when I woke up I knew I was completely in love with this man. I opened my eyes as I was wrapped up in his arms and he had this look of unbelievable indescribable gentleness on his face. He had been watching me sleep for and hour, he swept my hair out of my eyes and kissed my forehead then nuzzling my ear he whispered, "you are the most beautiful woman I have ever met." (which to me seemed silly due to the fact that I had last nights make-up smeared from one inch to the other) silly or not I melted I knew unequivocally there was no man out there for me but him. We have been together for two years now and though our little one was a big surprise to us it's only made our love stronger. How odd to say that as I was pretty sure at that moment I couldn't love him more, he's surprised me each day with how he makes me fall deeper in love with him than the day before.

As regards the make up on the face the morning after, i have a male friend and he thinks its one of the sexiest things! that, and an *** that wobbles when a woman walks. my hubby likes a curvy woman too. good to know not all men like the sticks on the cover of the magazines.

My story is the typical fall in love with your best friend since 7th grades younger brother (my BFF was 2yrs older than me and my DH Zach and I are only a month apart). My BFF and I lived at each others houses throughout middle school and highschool. She had a long distance relashionship at the time so she spent many hours on the phone...What was a girl to do:o) I went and sat in her brothers room and we just talked for hours (nothing ever happened). I had been in a relashionship and had my son my senior year in highschool - which I named Zachary and not on purpose, but when I brought him to my BFF's house the parents questioned us to see if there was anything they should know, but we were still just friends. I ended my relashionship with my son's sperm donnor and about 8months later my now DH asked me out on a date. It was great because there was no pretending since he already knew all of the sorted details of my past. 3 months later we moved in together and another 1.5yrs we were married..Its been 10.5yrs of marriage and I am more in love with him now than I was way back then!

Reply Contact My DH were renting houses next door to one another, but never spoke.  Then one night I saw him at BW3's and started talking to him thinking he was someone else.  He was there with a friend and the friend's date.  The date ended up exchanging numbers with me in the bathroom at some point in the night and calling me the next day.  She sort of ended up setting us up a couple of weeks later.   We dated for a little over five years and have been married 2 years.  Our son was born 5 days before our first wedding anniversary :)  And now we have this one to look forward to as well!
