Re: Who is out there over 35?
Hello Iris. I havent been on here in a couple days and I just happened to notice this post. I dont have a doctors appt until next Friday, but I was on Adipex diet pills and also, Vicodin for a slip disc that happened in a car accident two months ago. Well I of course stopped taking them both when I found out that I was pg, but I was already almost six weeks. What did the doctor tell you about the effects of the diet pills, if you dont mind me asking? I am so worried aout that. Thanks, Sandy

Re: Who is out there over 35?
Thank you Leslie so much. I need to start getting on here everyday and posting because your message just made me feel a little brighter. I am happy about the baby, but I have been feeling a little down about everything with the father and the situation. I just feel all alone and I know that sounds crazy. I tlaked to him on Friday and he said he decided that he does want to be part of the baby's life, but yet he barely answer a phone call or a txt message. I feel like he more ot less feels obligated to be part of the baby's life and not really wants to be part of it. It's pretty depressing. I almost feel like I want to just lose his number and cut all ties with him. Thanks again though for the encouraging words.

Re: Who is out there over 35?
I am so excited about how many women have posted on this message board!! Sandra, just hang in there. I have always found that when I ignore my man... whether it is my husband or any boyfriends in the past, they come running. I don't know why they are like that, but they are. The next time you feel like calling or texting him, just call or text a friends. Or get on here for support. After a while, he will start wondering why you haven't called and he will call you. Have a great night. Hang in there. It will work out.

Re: Who is out there over 35?
Hi Kimberly! So you're a pro at this - 4th time around. I hate to admit this to other pregnant women, but I feel great! No morning sickness - just some aches & pains occasionally. I certainly understand about the stress issue - my husband & I just had a discussion about it last night. That's been something I've struggled with even when I wasn't pregnant! My baby is due in August 2009 - so we're just getting started! We go for our first ultrasound on the 16th - can't wait! I'll check out that other site - thanks for the info!

Re: Who is out there over 35?
Hello All! I am 43 now, will be 44 when I have our first child after two tough miscarriages. I am pretty upbeat, already through the emotionally hard part of early amnio, karyotyping etc and just dealing with everybody asking "you do know how old you are, right?" well duh, I know my own birth date! Keep your chins up!!!!

Re: Who is out there over 35?
I'm 40 and will have my second daughter end of April 2009 at age 41. Other daughter is a healthy and robust 2.5 yr old. We are considering a third but who knows. Both are very healthy and I did a amnio with both to be sure. Feeling better this pregnancy than last, am 21 weeks (almost 22 now) and have gained a bit of weight but less than first time around. Am typically 115lbs and now am 123 lbs so all is well there. Last time at the end I had a lot of arthritis in my hands and ankles and back aches for last 4 weeks. I also was prone to passing out but never had to go on bed rest. Did an all natural child birth in a hospital, no fetal monitor, no IV, no meds so if anyone wants to know how that went just ask. No real illnesses this time however last time the hormones tended to throw me over the edge. Worked until hours before giving birth - almost had baby in the car, arrived at a full 10cm and delivered within 3 hours of arriving at the hospital. That's my story

Re: Who is out there over 35?
I just found this site, so I am late in joining...
I am 36 and expecting my third daughter (Caitlin is 14 & Meredith is 10. I miscarried about 6 years ago). My due date is March 15, but I will be induced either 3/5 or 3/6.
A lot has changed since my daughter was born. Even though this is my third daughter, I am scared to death. I feel great if not tired, I graduate college in May. So the next few months will be hectic but exciting.
Good luck to all of you.

Re: Who is out there over 35?
Hi Mommies! My name is Lisa and I'm 38 years old with baby #1 on the way. My due date is July 7th. My boyfriend and I are pretty excited and can't wait to meet our little one. I've had an 8 and 12 week ultrasound, as well as a first trimester screening. All measurements were within normal range and the follow-up blood tests (and accounting advanced age--that still makes me laugh) proved no added risk. In light of these findings, i don't think we'll opt for an amnio. I hope everyone else has smooth sailing, also...

Re: Who is out there over 35?
Good news! Having my first at 40...in my 9th week now. Having a NT at the end of Janaury, if it looks good, will likely opt out of amnio too. Praying it all goes well.

Re: Who is out there over 35?
Hi, I'm just over 29 weeks pregnant and have been on bedrest since just after my 5th month (Can't rem. week #) - due to shortened cervix, and now I also have funneling.
I'm to be on bedrest for the next ten weeks, which should take me to near my due date - mid-March.
Anyone else out there on bedrest?
Thanks.
PS - I'm 37.
