DH is against homebirth but I WANT one!

    I'm glad he is supporting you! Once you find a midwife and meet with her a couple times, she will put his mind at ease. Once my DH and family learned than my midwife had a 5 year degree and a couple years of clinicals, and THEN started practice, they felt better. They were picturing some 60's burnout with incense or something that lived on a bus. Instead they found a very professional and knowledgeable practitioner. I'm very excited to have her attend my birthing again. I think meeting with a midwife is the biggest step in getting them on your side. Most midwives will let you bring a skeptical family member with and help calm their fears too.
