Anyone else feeling Braxton Hicks contractions and/or round ligament pain very early on?

I'm only six weeks pregnant with my second child, and I've already begun experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions and round ligament pain. The nurse at my doctors office said that was very early to be feeling them, and it sounded like she almost didn't believe me. But let me tell you, both have very distinct sensations that I can't mistake for anything else... at least for me. They say that you have Braxton Hick contractions very early on but that you shouldn't feel them. And I know that your uterus starts growing very early on, but all the books say you shouldn't feel it until about five months. I think most of those books were written for first pregnancies, though. I just think my uterus is just a bit too excited that I'm pregnant again! LOL Anyone else feeling either of these things this early??

I can say that this time (4th child) I felt BH contractions by 8 wks along. I'm absolutely certain, though few people believed me, either. I sort of know my body...very well. So I'm certain. I can't remember on round ligament pain. It wasn't long thereafter, though. I've read that BH ctx start at about 6-8 wks pregnant, so I don't see how its impossible.

How long ago was your first child? My children have all been born within 18 mos of the previous...so a lot of things happen differently with me than with most moms who go 2-3 yrs of spacing.

And yes, your uterus expands much more quickly and sticks out further more quickly (so that you feel bigger) with subsequent pregnancies. You will "stick out" more with the subsequent pregnancy the weaker your ab muscles are. So, if your abs didn't really recover completely after the last pregnancy, you'll notice this, too.

One thought though...have you had an ultrasound? Rapid expansion (leading to more sensations early on) can also be a symptom of multiples. Not to get you concerned, or anything. LOL

My last pregnancy was four years ago, so it's definitely been a while! I guess that means it might not matter how long in between pregnancies... interesting. Yeah, my uterus definitely seems to be overexcited. LOL It's been "talking" to me quite a bit this past week. :) Well, I'm glad someone else out there has experienced the same things! Everything doesn't always go by the book! I have considered the possibility of multiples, though, it's a pretty low risk for me. They don't run in my family, I didn't just get off of birth control, and I didn't just have a baby, and I just don't FEEL like I have more than one... I'd say I'm about 90% sure there's just one little bun in my oven. :)

This is my 4th pregnancy, third child, and I started having ligament pain around 4 weeks. It HURT and still does at times. I'm 16+ weeks now. I have just started having braxton hicks, that I've noticed since they're a tiny bit painful.  With my second child, I started feeling BH at around 14 weeks.  I'm sure that it's possible to feel it earlier than that, I just didn't. :)
