  New to the bedrest club Reply Contact Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I have just joined the bedrest club. I am 25 weeks with ID boys, I started PTL on thursday morning, and it took until around supper time for the contractions to finally end. I spent 5 days in the hospital, and was sent home on strict bedrest. When I was last checked on saturday I was 1.5cm and 60% effaced, and baby A, AKA Nathaniel, was so low the doc was able to touch him. I am on Adalat until I give birth, and the goal right now is 32 weeks. I also have a soon to be 2 yr old, born in Nov of 07, running around. Thank god for daycare or I wouldnt know WHAT to do with him. Good luck to everyone here.

  Re: New to the bedrest club Reply Contact we were on the ttc board together:) Ive been on bedrest for the last 17 weeks,I hemorrhaged badly at 14 weeks and they found a large subchorionic bleed. Since Im 31 weeks now my restrictions have been lessened:) and it nice to be alittle more active. Im so happy they got things stopped for you, 32 weeks isnt to far in the future:) I will keep you in my prayers *hugs*

No 32 weeks isnt too far off, but I would like to make it past 32 weeks of course. Glad things are going better for you and they aren't as strict on your bedrest. You are almost done!

  Re: New to the bedrest club Reply Contact I remember you from the the ttc board too. I am on bedrest as of aug 15th. I strarted at 27 weeks. I went into Preterm labor. Story: demised boy twin at 18 weeks.. water (actually blood) broke (on him *seperate sacs and placentas) Her sac is ok. this happened 9 weeks post demise. "jake" I just got home from the hospital after being treated for preterm labor at 27 weeks iws given shots for the lungs and "devil juice" mag sulfate for contractions. antibiotics.... I was in boston Tufts for almost 4 weeks...(5 hours away ffrom home) Just got there to start a weeks vacation. Lets just say..if you rest....it will work!!! I have been 50 efface 3 cm dialted for a month now! take your meds strict rest....prayers...Its almost 32 weeks!!!!!! hang in there...lap top is your best freind texting tv movies....books if you like to read.... I was also on antibiotics by IV for the 5 days I spent in the hospital. Yes 32 weeks isnt far at all, only 7 weeks. I am hoping to go longer then that though.

It is challenging..but as people tell me, it will be a blip on the radar next year. It will go fast...28 weeks is also another mile stone. Keep me posted, ok..even dr appointments. Also if you want to email me...nurserose28@aol.com! Thanks, I will def email you. I have my GD test friday morning, and a NST afterward, and on the 22nd I have an appointment with my OB. This will be my first OB appointment with her since she released me. I have no idea what to expect. My next U/S is Oct 1st.

  Re: New to the bedrest club Reply Contact The sugar test was not that bad. It gave me major indigestion though and sick sour feeling but what I have went through, that was a piece of cake. The nst is a good. If you fail it, you get a biophysical profile which is an ultrasound right afterwards. So, you walk out knowing alot either eay. IF you pass the NST....good to go...Either eay you will find out alot. Ultrasound- growth...Possible cervial length check... ask all your questions when you go tot he OB!! Pick his brain. Hugs!!! I go tomorrow to the Dr for an NST and a bio phsysical profile...and to the ob right after that...Ill keep you posted..I mhaving contractions again tonight 3 20 minutes apart..but it comes and goes...I hope it goes..... 31w and 1d keep going!!!!   Re: New to the bedrest club Reply Contact I failed the GD test with my son Donevan, so I am expecting to fail it again. Oh well, such is life. I had an NST before I was released from the hospital and I passed it. I am a little worried this time around because I have been having the odd contraction. I sometimes get 3 in a row, then nothing.
