Re: ~~**~~** December Blessings Birth Stories!! **~~**~~

So I have been MIA for a while...On Sept 10th we welcomed our dec baby...2lbs 4oz 14in long....we were camping over labor day (6hrs from home) and I started to bleed...with in seconds i had blood to my knees...we went to the hospital...Which was the scariest hospital I have ever been in, I was more worried that the drunk doctor would drop his dentures on me....so he did the exam and I was not dialated he could not figure out why I had been bleeding and they did not have ultra sound on the weekends so he decided to life flight me to another town (3hrs if you drove away) when I got there I was dialated to a 1.5 and 80%...they started to give me meds to stop my contractions which were working....after being in this hospital for a couple days they decided that they would rather me be in a hospital close to home and the doc said that he was positive that I would deliver that week and he would rather fly me with the baby inside that the baby by herself...so I flew once again (6hrs from home if you drove). When I got there they stopped the meds that I was on cuz they found a mass that was behind my placenta and they said that the meds that I was on was stopping the blood flow, they did not know what this mass was just that if I had to deliver there was a hight chance I would need a transfusion....after being in the hospital for a couple days and really no change...they were going to send me home, but before they did they wanted me to go for a non stress test...while doing that I was haing contractions every 1-3min and they hurt, the doc came in and I was dialated to a 4 so they decided to keep a close eye on me. I seriously just sent a text to everyone to let them know I was ok the nurse came in to give me pain pills and all of a sudden 6 nurses and 4 doc came in and said we are taking you in for an eme c-section. When they wheeled me out of the room all I saw was all the white coats it was all the high risk docs and the NICU docs. After my c-section I was greeted by my husband they said that my placenta had torn 50%....so going foward we are now 19days since she was born and she is doing well....her 1st week she had some hard times...they found out she had a level 4 bleed in her head and they are 80% sure that she will have some diability but dont know what or the extent of it....she is now above birth weight 2lbs 8oz she did get down to 2lbs 1oz....sorry I have been gone but my mind has been elsewhere....thank you Jessica

Re: ~~**~~** December Blessings Birth Stories!! **~~**~~

I am not sure if I am doing this right but here goes... Well,on Nov 13 I started my "nesting", w/ the usual contractions. I thought something inside me just felt diffrent. Like I could not get enough clean and/or organized...lol. So, I went on w/ my day and nothing happened. That night I tried to sleep but I was up every hour to hour and a half to pee and my lower back was feeling some pressure.... but no pain yet. I then got up around five A.M. and watched a movie and drank some coffee. I laided back down from about 8-9:30 A.M. My husband had went to work so it was my dd and I at home all day Saturday. About 1 P.M. or so my contractions started to feel a bit stronger and more consistant so I decide to take a bath to try and slow or stop them, as this has worked in the past. This did not help:) I got my dd to lay down w/ me while I waited for her grandma to come pick her uo for thier planned sleep over. From about 2-5:30 I had contractions at about five minutes apart, lasting about 45-60 seconds each... These were also getting more intense as time went by. I called L&D and they wanted me to drink a pitcher of water and take another bath to see if that helped at all... Once again, IT DID NOT. I called back and since the baby was breech they wanted me tyo get on the raod right away. I live about an hour and fifteen minutes from the hospital. I called my husband, who was on his way home from work and told him to HURRY:) He arrived and showered and by this time I was still at 5 minutes apart. As we got going I quickly started to get contractions at 3 then 2 mintues apart. When arriving at the hospital I was 3 cm and 80%. They gave me a choice of trying to flip the baby or a c-section,as already agreed apon, we decided the c-section was best. Kolton Craig was born at 8:28 P.M. He weighed 4lbs 10ozs. He has a ton of corly blonde hair:) He is adorable. He is strong. They decided to keep him in NICU for the night because he is requiring some oxygen... but very little. They are waiting untilthis morning to check him again and see if he can be w/ out it. They say he is doing very well. I am also doing very well. They are going to be getting me up and moving here shortly so we will see how that goes;) I am not in much pain, just some tenderness by the incision, but all in all I am doing quite well. I will keep you updated on Kolton and my progress as time goes on. I want to tell you thank you for all the support thru this pregnancy.... 'tessa Laine I do not know how to add pics so if I can figure that out I will:)
